Oud oil and Attar recommendations

Hello, I've been looking to get more attars and oils but there's a lot of choice out there and i don't know where to begin any recommendations would be very helpful and I don't have any preference's thanks

Hi! This might not narrow things down, but for oud oils the best best, in my opinion, is to ask for a sample pack from one of the vendors you’ll find on the front page of this site.

Location (therefore shipping time and cost) can potentially narrow it down. Your profile says you’re in London so you could try emailing Habzoud or Oudbase about a sample pack that covers a range of regions and profiles. Lots of others in EU and further afield with decent shipping rates as well though.

Depends on what you're willing to spend and what kinds of scents you like. It's hard for me to pick just one oil to suggest but I like Ensars oils and his sample packs have lots of good oils. The legends sampler is great if you're willing to pay for it. Oud Ahmad is probably my favorite oil and that's the only way to get it right now.

I don't usually wear attars but I can make some recommendations. It really depends on what kinds of scents you're looking for but purple rain, homeros, and ward sultan from Ensar are good. I also like Mughal amber and al molouk musk from risingphoenixperfumery. Vetiver is really nice to wear neat. Khus exclusive and hindi classique are great vetiver oils from Ensar. Tonkin Khus is great too. Ambra 92' and santal royal are both great. Again it really depends on what you're looking for and if you narrow it down you might get better answers.

Tibetan Musk Ghalia by EO will be a perfect choice. Musk, Oud and Santal at their best.
