Good evening.
Amber as an accord is usually made by: benzoin, vanillin, labdanum, the latter because of its ambrein content.
I'd recommend you playing with these ingredients to start a basic amber accord. Then you could add spices, woods (even agarwood!), incenses.... and even synthetic...
Sweet Trat arrived: I detected the decaying wood note... and I love it! Not too sweet, and a bit animalic especially in drydown. Comparable to malaccensis for my uneducated nose. :)
Thank you all. I like sour notes, and rotting wood as well.
What made me love oud was the barnyard, wild, and funky note..... and the cheesy too..... Even if I know (maybe I'm not right) that the latter is typical of badly distilled oils. :Whistling:
Good morning to all,
I wonder what's the general quality of PureOudh's offerings, if someone experienced like you has ever tried them.
Particularly about these oils:
- Sweet Trat, of which I've read positive thoughts;
- Prachinburi 2012;
- Green Malaysian;
- Jianfengling.
Glad to know your...
I just received some Super Hoi An (together with lovely Assam Leather), and it smells sooo good. :)
Considering my Oud journey started just 2 months ago, I feel so lucky to be able to get this wonder.
Good morning dear Oud lovers,
my name's Francesco and I come from Italy, Sardegna.
Since I discovered Oud, he watched my heart and nose, and finally I found the best place where to discuss about it! :)
Kind regards to all
Francesco
