diy mica sheet

So, I am out of mica sheets because they were all burnt, and even when burning quality wood, the after smell was always of burnt toast kinda smell, was wondering, I know you can use tin foil (or am I wrong?) as a mica sheet, but how do you do it exactly? Kinda noob with agarwood right now when...
