Oud Sprite
Dear Members,
We would like to inform you that the Ouddict forum has recently undergone a transition regarding the daily administration of the forum, as had previously been pre-announced by @Ouddict here: https://www.ouddict.com/threads/major-announcement-forum-admin-change.756/page-2#post-43595. A new Admin team has been formed to help the forum owner to take a step back and devote his time and focus on other projects and ambitions. We would like to wish @Nadeem the best of luck in his new endeavours.
In the spirit of change and new beginnings, the Admin team has taken the initiative to revisit the matter of any past banned members. We would like to inform you that most members have been reactivated. Obviously we have not reactivated known spammers, and in the case of any Vendors on that list, the Admin team can not solely take that initiative, as Vendors have a separate set of rules and obligations which must be adhered to and agreed to.
On the subject of rules, we have noticed that some people seem to think the forum has no defined rules. That is not true, and you are requested to read the terms and rules posted here:
https://www.ouddict.com/help/terms
One of the upcoming goals of the forum administration is to rework these rules and present them in a clearer format, but the terms above will continue to provide the basis for forum rules. On a personal note, I suggest additionally reading the Basenotes Code of Conduct (http://www.basenotes.net/about/92-basenotes-community-code-of-conduct-for-members) to get a better feel of what is accepted and expected on a fragrance forum. We would also like to point out that maintaining the correct conduct extends beyond your postings on the board threads.
If anybody has any constructive ideas regarding rules or any other aspect of the forum management, please PM one of the forum Admins. We would like to remain open to suggestions and probable resolutions at all times, but to be clear, during corrective actions and regarding any administrative decisions that become final, things are not open to debate or public airing.
Finally, we would like to state that no one on the Admin team has any affiliation with any Oud Vendor (on or off the forum). We wish to state this clearly and upfront, as we will have little tolerance for any baseless insinuations should they arise at any point.
We are hopeful that the team we now have will be able to deal with any issues that arise in a prompt, effective and silent method, so that all members may enjoy their forum activities without needless distraction.
Thank you,
The Admin Team
