Heating some Hindi chips from Habz
Excellent profile.
More pleasant fruity with mild florals.
No leather or barn.

i did try Ensar Pinoy chips, now here many shops and instagram auctions selling filipino chips mostly overpriced, i remember going to market looking for good chips for my cousin i had like last piece of habz filipino with me and i compare it to two shops had filipino at that time one selling it for 600$ per tola and other had two types 150$ and 330$ and habz chip was way superior lolHeated some AH Tawi Sultan
It’s a mixed lot of very good, good, and fair,
but not in the same league as the first batch, and Habz’s sinking Filipino, and LMK’s Filipino.
But in all fairness, I haven’t come across any Philippine chips like those first ones offered.
Also, I never tried Taha’s, Ensar’s, and Azman Oudh’s.
Also, M. Arif’s wasn’t great either.
Vietnam cultivated oud chips tonight Great quality for the extremely affordable price I paid
Seems so though I've only tried some Trat and Kalimantan chips, scent profile is much more complex and longer lasting on clothes etcVietnam cultivated have good aroma profile as compared to other cultivated/ plantation oud chips
Yes, it is an old electric burner purchased from Bahrain years ago.Trying to understand what I’m looking at here. Is that metal cup with the wood powder and chips being heated across its bottom surface? Electric burner of some kind? I’m also curious about the scale - that looks like a lot of material to burn in one go!

My first raw sandalwood burning experience.
it has a very thick brown, red-ish color when cut it into half. it doesn't sink into the water.
it's very dense and hard as a rock. it was very hard to chip them into small granules.
now I understand a little bit how hard it is to make a Kukawari. hats off to @RisingPhoenix and Japanese incense houses!
it gives off a cool, airy, woody smell at the room temperature.
On 100 celcius, it gives off more woody, terpene-ish smell.
On 140 celcius, woody note starts to get stronger and gives off a little bit of softness
On 170 celcius, woody note became very distinctive, strong
On 200 celcius, woody note starts to tone down a bit. become much more mellow and softer. I start to get a milky, creamy note. very faint smoke can be observed
On 230 celcius, it starts to give off a baked smell and a little bit of sweetness that reminds me of freshly cooked caramel. smoke becomes thicker
On 260 celcius, it starts to give off a burnt smell that I don't want. I didn't go more than 260 after this point.
I enjoyed the smell mostly between 200 celcius to 230 celcius where I can smell creaminess, softness, sweetness from the granules.
it doesn't have the depth that ouds have but it gives a very relaxing and pleasant olfactory experience. the scent of Zen it is!
thank you, brother Zak from @AgarwoodAssam for selling this good quality sandalwood at such a low price!
