Shunkohdo Kyara Seikan

One of my favorites,
hardly Kyara at all
but very aloeswoodsy
sometimes I think there is musk in it
or maybe even....the tiniest amount
of ambergris, but that’s unlikely.

I wish I wasn’t such a procrastinator,
because I have all the ingredients I need to make
incense, even musk and ambergris,
but at the same time, work keeps me busy

Shunkohdo Ranjatai

Mostly a woody profile.
I wonder if the recipe was created as an impression of the famous Ranjatai piece of agarwood in Japan.

Shoryu koh - Kunmeido I like this stick alot it has a strong Agarwood sent with a prominent cinnamon note with a touch of clove...there is some herbal notes as well but very faint...all I can smell is cinnamon Agarwood and clove.

Shoyeido shi-un granulated incense. high-quality agarwood mixed with something that has a kind of ambergris/vanilla scent. The fragrance evolves nicely at all points during the burn, and the high-quality agarwood bits make sure it has a strong finish.

Processed Sinking Brunei opens like a oud chip on charcoal with a deep sweet molasses bubbling oud resin, that gives way to a rich cherry vanillic woody aroma that persistently bathes the room.

IO Walla Patta sticks

I like the top note vibe,
although not as agarwood heavy as some artisanal sticks, if compared to Japanese style, delivers a very satisfying experience.

Baieido Jinko Kokoh

Sometimes I crave this spicy mix

Then I complimented it with
Baieido Kokonoe

In terms of blends like mukhallats,
I find the recipe of Kokonoe to be superb.
But that’s just for my current taste,
I wouldn’t expect anyone to be wow’d by it.

Both green sticks with similar scents
but it’s obvious that the Asuka
is packin’ more agarwood

I’m getting creamy caramel with a touch of rose in the Nha Trang, and some fruitiness in Kan Hoa.
