I wanted to let everyone who are interested and reaching out to me for the oil and wood, please be patient as there are lot of things going on in the background that is delaying this project. Since I got a bigger pot (70L), I'm adding couple heating elements and designing a circuit myself to control the heat, drilling holes in the pot, adding coupling, and making sure no leakage is happening seriously needs lot of time and labor, I'm making sure to avoid any possible failure that could happen by doing rigorous testing sicne this is not the common sandalwood that comes everyday, It's a genuine Mysore root!!

Due to the severe storm last night, I'm currently facing power outage that could last at least two days 🤦‍♂️

Fyi, I lost all the oil because the reflux failed and oil/hydrosol in the receiver overflowed. I left it unattended for a long time as I had to travel for a conference. I think I lost almost 60-70ml of oil and was only able to recover 3ml or so from 2kg material. I was very sad, disheartened as I spent a lot of my time, effort on it and later realized that if that's Allah's will then I'm pleased with it. There were lots of lesson learned and I hope not to repeat them. I was in state of shock for a while and didn't know how to convey it. I'm so sorry for those who were eagerly waiting for it and I promise to comeback again to bring you guys this oil sooner or later. I hope you understand.

I feel for you brother. Such an unexpected experience. A distiller takes his own risks and that includes loss at times . Knowledge is either given or earned and paid for one way or another. What ever the mistake I’m sure it will never happen again and I pray for the future to bring your best work and this moment to be remembered as a gain and not a loss in hindsight. 🙏🏼

I understand that this is very difficult, afther looking forward to this piece of sandalwood for so long.
But remember my brother, as it was easy for Allah the Almighty to give you this beautiful piece, it is easy for Allah the Almighty to give you better than this, as we know everything is easy for Allah the Almighty an nothing is difficult for Him.
“Verily, when He intends anything, His command is: ‘Be,’ and it is.” (36:82)

"And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).
Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return."
