Today I’m wearing my favorite Thai oil
It’s nothing exclusive but I had to buy many Tola of middle grade and low grade Thai oils to find the one that is my Jam!
I love this non- complex Straight forward berry incense with amazing longevity and smooth drydown.
now I just buy many tola of this oil to age and blend and wear regularly!
my kids should have plenty!!

If our parents did that for us, we’d be sitting on some killer oils from old growth trees:rolleyes:

Sri Lankan oil
Just pulled this out of storage to check it’s progress. Almost ready for release if I can keep my swipes to a minimum!
Wood used for distillation was Mid to low incense Grade chips Not dust or shavings or cultivated. Not sinking grade but pretty decent
Quality, I heated a few chips

Last swipe of Bingo from a 6 year old sample.
Bingo is an oil from Bangladesh,
first time I smelled it,
there was a powerful barn,
not rotten or bacteria smell.
Now....it endured oxidation,
is very tame, still oudy,
and surprisingly...a heated chip smell,
it’s like auxiliary notes never took hold,
a testament to the aging capabilities of oils from this region/and or neighboring regions.

That's interesting. Been waiting for some old crap ouds to transform like this but so far they are refusing.
