Hi, does anyone have any alternate for Oud Yusuf? I'm sure there will be. Something of the similar scent?
    I think it's trat?
    Thanks

    Sweet Trat by Pure Oud
    Fragrant Harbour by IO
    Trad by Al Hashimi

Or contact Ulugbek. He has some very good Thai and Malay Oud oils.

The OP asked about alternatives to Oud Yusuf which is a Trat oil, so Fragrant Harbour and Malay oils aren’t similar at all.

Regarding Oud Yusuf, have you smelled it and if so, which batch? The original is superior to the later ones. The Oud Yusuf is a single source organic distillation from Trat that has a unique and lovely floral dimension. It evokes the unmistakable scent of an English summer garden to my nose.

As for Trad, it is different, although it is also an organic oil from Trat. It was produced in order to achieve more depth and complexity than is possible to achieve in a single source oil. The oil was constructed from distillations of different parts of a tree in order to provide different facets from the darker prune scent profile reminiscent of Koh Kong Cambodi oils to the more floral and lighter notes typical of organic Trat Ouds.

It's the 2011 batch. I have it. Just over 1ml left. Absolute beauty.
Just thought if anyone had any similar one in mind as its a bit too pricy.
    Thanks for the info.

Of all the Thai oils I tried, none have a similar profile to Oud Yusuf 2011. Some Thai oils are unique, and some share a similar profile, it’s a mixed bag:p

But oddly enough, a Malaysian oil reminded me of Oud Yusuf:eek: (Al Shareef Oudh Khulood)(reminded me...but not exactly like)

    Well, to be honest, none.

Trad by Al Hashimi is better, in my views. Fragrant Harbour is a bit spicy as compared with Oud Yusuf, and it is FH's plus point

    In fact, Oud Yusuf
All have similar shades. I have tried these three, and I would go for Fragrant Harbour that has clean and smooth aroma that is there in Oud Yusuf. Though the spicy tone has enhanced the beauty of FH, while OY is sweet.

Trad by AHO I tried twice. No doubt very good, but every inch a Trat. While Oud Yusuf is more than Trat.

Respected Sir, if you read the description about Oud Yusuf, it is written the oil has a Borneo touch. Yes, this touch is there.

So, you can acquire samples and decide. ST and FH are available from the vendors, I think.

I know the different batches are different, and the original one is legendary, but when you are looking for an alternative to Oud Yusuf, why not give Oud Yusuf (the current 2012 batch) a try?

Not wanting to compare and weigh the different vendors' alternatives mentioned above, but OY2012 might still be closer to the one you have...

Here you will find Royal Bengal Oud in Resident Vendor section.

This particular oil is available at Etsy shop owned by Ish- a lovely and lively person.

But the colour of the oil is not like that of Oud Yusuf.

Have you got One? Have you personally smelt It? If so out of 10 what would you rate it? In terms of sweetness that is noticed in Oud Yusuf.

No, not this one from RBO. This is why I just mentioned the colour. I had had Oud Yusuf in 2017. So, I am very much familiar with the oil's colour and scent.

But this oil from RBO reflects typical Thai Oud colour. Oud Yusuf was more Chinese (but excessively sweet) than Thai, in my opinion.
