Earlier it was Omani frank, followed by Eight Millenniums (powder incense by KZ). Now Tawi-Tawi and Malacca together. My fragrant room heater!

Walla Patta is like a class unto itself,
not the typical fruity floral,
more like otherworldly florals smelled through a veil of minerals.

Some pieces smell the same as some of their Kozutsu mini agarwood pieces.

Been burning kyara extract 3 days now it has become more spicy and earthy

Today’s slivers were less fruity, but more oudy with a touch of spice.

A chunk of old Silani log. Quite impressive really, one of those burns that the smell is much more interesting than other more active pieces

I LOVE a piece of wood that delivers visual AND aromatic bliss. I tend to reserve my best woods for special days but you know what, every day should be special, right? I am burning, no, barely warming a piece of Malacca, something like 100 years old I got thanks to @language scent and the Japanese market. Light yellow florals, frangipani, tea. Think I'm catching a buzz whiffing my subitism, or hyperventilating.

This is my favorite agarwood brother! So by the way a couple weeks ago I realized it is Hainan! In the auctions they never really mention regions but they had this under “malacca”, turns out they have many regions constituting “malacca” label. This wood is so different from all Hainans I have tried and could easily pass as something else. Today brother Iori also confirmed it is Hainan. Man how I wish we had jumped on the whole 40gram chunk.
