I've just received this beautiful hand painted little incense box and holder. Came with two samples also. First one is a Nah Trang. Second is white sandalwood. Both are just devine. Wow so this is what high end agarwood incense smells like?? Not a burnt not to be found. Incredible.

That looks beautiful, I love the incense holder and the tube thing. What is it exactly? Is the big black tube thing t to keep long Japanese style incense in? Also what is the smaller one, that looks like a pen? Sorry in advance for my stupidity if this is a stupid question, I have just never came across something quite like this.

BTW: If you didn't know, "white" sandalwood is just normal Santalum. album sandalwood. The best fragrance wise. There is a "red" sandalwood, but it isn't considered a real sandalwood, it also is called "fake sandalwood". EDIT: I am not talking about red meat sandalwood FYI.

Do you also like high quality, Indian incense? I like, Shroff, Temple of Incense, Mothers India Fragrance(s) and (dont laugh please) a cheeky Satya stick every once in a while hehe.

I do like high quality Indian incense for sure. Like most good things here in Australia they're hard to find as the general population has taste in their ass and wouldn't know a good quality incense if it hit them. I have a running joke with a mate about Satya sticks atm lol and how they need to live in the drawer of shame. I live in an apartment so burning one of them is too much but I don't mind them if burnt in a well ventilated area lol. A brand called Marco Polo's Treasures is my favourite for Indian right now. Beautiful scents. Yeah the black tube is for storage and the little pen looking thing is actually a fine tipped poker for getting stubs out of the holder. It's all quite beautiful and very well made.

Japanese incense (daily to premiums), and certain Indian Dhoops are what I like the most. Japanese incense use real aloeswood, sandalwood, herbs and spices and other aromatics (most of the time, the exception to the rule can be Nippon Kodo).
