I am happy to sayI've had a couple of email exchanges with OG BN oud lover "Bluemoon" over the last week, after a pretty long hiatus. In retrospect, I realize her generosity of spirit kind of set the tone for me and I think she was one of the people early on who was generous and enthusiastic enough about her specimens to really help create a culture of mutual appreciation and exchange among the more obsessed collectors. I also feel like she was one of the first enthusiasts (in the US at least) who really brought attention to Thaqueel, Kalakassi and the (still kicking somehow lol) Oud Royale
She along with "Taz" (who started the oud lovers group) and a couple of others had a sincere infectious appreciation that really set the tone, and I think helped kick off the wave of enthusiastic collectors in the west/US (the market that I have direct contact with).
