I'm in! Whenever it comes...
Recently I had a major disappointment with dome Merauke' and Jaya oils purchase - really wasted thousands on subpar-slash-horrible, unusable oils;
so I need a major restorative - correcting experience, to remind me why I love that region's materials at first place, and I am confident that Mesoud Merauke will be beautiful at least, and probably superb.
SO, is it going to be ny Christmas/post-Christmas gift to myself? 🙂

İ hear you
As i mentioned,this is a very low yielding wood and unfortunately noone will distill a wood instead of selling it as wood in a bulk price of 2000-3000$/kg or in retail 6-7$/gr and using ordinary woods and generally what happens is
1)Harsh treatment to extract this low yield oil from wood and where that burnt,damp,scent comes from
2)Stretching it(adulterating or codistilling with some woods like agarwood (Mainly woods called soasoa etc)
Hopefully you will fall in love again to these regions

That is exactly how those terrible oils (4 varieties of them! with nearly the same odour) smelled - acrid, dirty, smoked-fish with rotting seaweed and quite resembling 'gaharu-buya' the Aetoxylon wood (soa soa), which essence I have - exactly for the study and the comparison.
