No, any clear sheet mica will do. The layered grey stuff will also work but tends to be too thick as they have many layers. Clear one will be the natural mica, depending on the thickness you could even split that up into more sheets.

As selem a3likoum !
BarakAllahu fik for your help to Abasfrag

I got my mica sheets 🙂.. a totaly different experience with and without the mica. Great! !

Thanks @Faizal_p for the tip about the mica 🙂

I also got some wood from Mr Tony Bolton. Some sinking grade Vietnamese and some dubble super incense grade Vietnamese. I'm so happy to have a mica for this. I think I love this even more than the oud oils. ....... the dubble super incense smells so fantastic from the bag when opened, and when I heated it I became speechless.

don't forget to clean it some wood dosent clean very well and have dust so if u clean it the smell will be better so far enjoy! 🙂

Try as I may to enjoy coal, with ash, with mica etc I just find it too difficult to get right. That sweet spot only hits for a minute or so, then the heat diminishes or the wood starts scorching. Need to try the Japanese method I think but for me the incense subitism style burners are the best.

I thought we could share the wood we burn/ heat here.

So I start with this fantastic Vietnamese oud. It has a beautiful scent I don't want it to be over. Really can't get enough. I wish I had an oil that smells like this. So natural and sweet, with some woody and tobacco notes. Cant explain it with words unfortionately but im sure you know what I'm talking about 😀

If you haven't sampled the "Ceen" from al shareef it is worth a go, in that it reminds me of some Vietnamese wood I have smelled from baieido. 🙂

@Abasfrag Salam alayka akhy

There is already a thread talking about burning oud 😉

I moove the thread from the general to here, but now I dont know how to mix them into one thread.

@hedyscent wow, that's a Boswellia party there. I like how the B. frereana melts faster and sort of melds the others together...I've done this too, but only two different types at a time.
