The first time Kyarazen offered Brunei agarwood was on his own website, and at that time he sold sinking, half sinking, and non sinking. I got in late so I ended up with the non sinking, the others were already sold out. Then a few weeks later he offered the Premium Brunei heartwood which was very fragrant at room temperature, I got that one also. Comparing the two, the profiles are a little similar but not close to the same. I sold all the non sinking but kept the Premium heartwood. The Premium heartwood included some of the shavings, but based on the picture of Brunei K, I dont see any shavings.
The Premium that I have seem to be more resinated, see the picture below.

I am heating the Cultivated Kinam from Sulaym for a couple of days to enjoy it and get my heater clean of off notes.
Its hard for me to describe wood heating or burning as it is a volatile experience and nuances keep coming and going
This CK is a nice floral spicy bitter and sweet kinam. It has a faint smell at room temp and it blossoms at around 60-80° for me. Its very beautiful and alive at these degrees.
I never like CK on high heat (from the couple I experienced till now), its somehow just woody and looses all these beautiful facets at low temp.
I have some of this also and totally agree. You can plenty of scent out of them. Once I finish them on the heater I grind them up, blend with a little AU sandalwood powder and turn it into a loose incense for trails. Smells so bloody good and an excellent way to get more bang for your buck.

I have sampled three woods from maunomoku and they all went in the “special occasion” bin… actually I extracted the CK bead scrap to make a tincture - it was a nice dense resinous specimen of CK

My burn of the day is this powdered incense mixture from Kangiiten. “Sei-Gen Koh” reminds me of the simple unaugmented medicinal herb mixes that baieido does so well. I’ve tried to make mixtures like this myself many many times, and examining this one closely on the subitism (after previously, only having burned it as an incense trail) was very interesting… the various notes are well balanced, and blended and the ingredients, smell, rich and high-quality. I’m used to smelling more edgy or harsh plant fiber notes in t

It is easy to recognize some of the components but they don’t stick out like sore thumbs. This feels like the result of a fair amount of experimentation, or maybe an old recipe that has been refined over time. Very nice stuff and it burns perfectly when using a stencil.

I have a couple of bottles of this but hadn't considered trying it on a sub. I'll give that a go as when burning I can sometimes find it a little harsh in my small apartment.

Maunamoku old farm Vietnamese on the subitism at the moment… a very sweet and appealing aroma - adjacent to the delicious confectionery appeal of cultivated kinam somehow, but crassna wood is my understanding.

I tried this at higher and lower temperature settings and preferred the lower temperature for this wood. Very happy I have this.

Got my order from Kangiiten.

First up was Tarakan classic.

Smells almost sri lankan and deeply oudy at room temp.

Low heat was purple fruit kind of like Maluku.

Now hearing Philippines. Oudy oud, bitter sweet medicine. Reminds me of Pinoy Ltd a bit.

Ill heat Brunei L later but I can say the room temp aroma is superb.

These woods punch way above their price point, glad I got some.
