Here is Gato inspecting the spring catnip harvest. I plan to make some catnip incense cones and see if they have any effect on the guy.

💗💗💗💗Aww thats so kind of you. Making some catnip incense for you're wee cat, love it!!! BTW They WILL have an effect on Mr. Gato because Catnip gets the cats "high" by the smell, so it would be like concentrated catnip lol. Mr. Gato would come over and smell it and get super duper donked haha. Make the cones with as much catnip as you can btw, like 60-80% Catnip per cone, Mr. Gato would love that, and treat the cones as a very special treat, and use normal catnip as well as a more "daily" thing, like we do with less expensive incense heh.

I Distilled a bunch of fresh cat nip cologne last year. He had zero interest! That was a low temperature (~75C) distillation because it was alcohol-based. maybe the active principal doesn't evaporate at that lower temperature and needs 100C to pass over. This year I'm also hoping to make some strong hydrosol, and see if he likes that.

He is a constant companion, and is an old and mellow guy. gets a pretty good mane going in the colder months.

He is letting me know with his body language that he wants chicken. That's not so far from the refrigerator

Cross post from Oud Photos as I am now heating the trimmings from earlier, perk of the job!
High grade CK trimmings from square:

A very noble, elegant scent, opens with orchid and gourmand sweetness on low temperature that can endure for a long time. On higher temperatures, or later in the session, it transforms from orchids to lotus, adding a green herbacious profile as the raw oud profile ramps up. Punches out vapor for hours more than almost any other wood I have, and sings at room temperature.

I know we are getting buried in CK around here but I love the stuff! I still can't believe I've got multiple jars that perform like what you are describing here. The different specimens are quite different in aroma. Some more like baked goods, and flour, others more like spicy jungle pepper; purple, green, round leaf, black, yellow, white. I am nowhere near sorting it all out 😂

This purple is very good. I've had a couple of bit's like that going for three days now.
Absolutely agree, I increase the temperature a bit now on my heater to 150 after a week. I am thinking of gently grinding some on a ceramic salt/pepper grinder to use for the gentle heating, not sure if it will grind properly due to the high resin content or if I will lose too much resin to the ceramic in the process
