What is your experience with them? What notes etc? Did it seem like just a high quality aloeswood stick?
Maybe it has it in there maybe it doesn’t, I point is that you can’t smell it or know that it’s there so it may as well not even be there. If you are familiar with that company at all, then you would know that they basically use variations on their same recipe pretty much all the way up their line. so my guess is that they are giving it that title to signify that it is in fact, their highest quality representation of that recipe. But I can tell you as someone who has tried pretty much there entire line alongside a bunch of other kyara sticks that conclusively there is basically no discernible kyara aroma in that stick.

So to me, whether an ingredient is in there or not, and to what percentage it is in there or not really does not matter if you can’t even smell it or pick up on it because in the end that that’s the actual point of purchasing the product.

If it had much if any actual kyara in it, then it would be priced much higher than it is, like every single other genuine and legitimate kyara incense.

Just get gokujo kyara and call it a day, lol.

Yep, I totally agree!!! I was a little weary at how they can sell 70 "Kyara" sticks at only £114.95 lol 🤣. May as well just get Asuka from them.

It really does bother me though that they use that ingredient as a marketing technique.

I would hate to think that the Japanese lie to us, as they are considered to be very honorable people... would be very disheartening.
I think in every country, known for their honorability or not, you must always keep in mind there are good and bad people.
If possible, test the product, ask other users and see if the seller is known for its reliability.

Here's both of my talks with @RisingPhoenix your reference 🙂
Those were a lotta fun 🤩

One of the joys of speaking with someone like @TheOudDood is that he’s been fortunate to have tried many sources, fallen (like many of us) for the shenanigans, but has also plenty of experience with the real stuff.

He’s got experience that makes it both easy to chat with - but also to ask all the right questions.

Watching the second one now and your knowledge of British empire history is very good. Was it self taught, or did you study history as well?

Also, all you get in the supermarkets in the UK nowadays is the "tea dust" in bags of tea you are talking about in this video. No one in the UK knows what REAL tea is. Haha. I am thinking of going back to drinking tea but really good quality. IDK why, but after my diagnosis, normal tea bags (with the scrapings off the floors) would always make me vomit it back up, and I would get quite ill. I think it has to do with the actual quality, right? And, to be fair, I was using like 3-4 bags lol. I think I will get involved into tea again, but getting good quality (which you can get in the UK but only online, or if you go to Edinburgh, MAYBE Glasgow, to get it in person, but I dont drive so Edinburgh is a no go, that is a whole day out without a car) and making it myself, I may notice somethings.

Can you tell me, what is the actual effects from tea, other than the caffeine?

Sounds like you may have been using too much tea. Possibly overstepping it, as well.

But - could be other things going on in your body, as well. Hard to say without getting a closer look at you.

Tea functionality from a TCM perspective differs a bit depending on the specific type of tea.

PuEr’s tend to Drain Damp Heat

Hong Cha / Black Teas are less Cooling / Warming, Tonify Qi, Drain Damp

Green Teas are Cool / Cold

Etc. Etc. Etc.

I guess more self-taught 🤷🏼‍♂️ I read a lot

Chinese Medicine is an awful lot of history.

Spice / Tea / Incense Trades is essentially a study in itself of global history and geopolitics.

It’s all connected.

These are the cups I am gonna get when I try my new tea journey with very high quality teas. Are oolong teas good for revitalisation and energy?

Yeah that is true. Because of my kind hearted nature, I am quite naive.
The problem is not your kind hearted nature, the people that abuse that kind hearted nature are the problem

In the past I also have experienced nausea symptoms when I drank a lot of green tea on an empty stomach in the morning. This is most likely to do with the side effects of tannins in the green tea, that can cause nausea or other symtoms.
If I eat breakfast first and then drink green tea an hour after breakfast or later, I don't have that problem.

Regardless of the type of tea, origin, and whether pesticides have been used or not, you should also take the tea bags themselves into account. Most tea bags have been treated with chlorine, which can also be a reason why you react strongly to them.
I personally never drink tea in bags, and if i buy tea i always choose an organic certified tea which can be purchased separately and you have to filter yourself with a sieve or something similar.
Black tea also contains more theine (the caffeine variant in tea) than green tea in general.

So take a closer look at what is causing it, the orgin of the tea (organic or not), the tea bags or because you drink it like me in the morning on a empty stomach or some other reason.

Do you recommend Kunmeido Kyara Tenchi? They say it is an aloeswood blend with a decent amount of "select" Kyara's. It is £114.95 for 70 sticks.
I have the old batch Kunmeido Kyara Tenpyo, Kotaro said that they renamed it Kyara Tenchi, but that it is the same. I haven’t smelled the Tenchi batch so I can’t confirm that the recipe is the same.
With the old Tenpyo batch, I do get a kyara note.

Yeah, I guessed it was the tannins, lack of quality and over steeping and putting too much bags in as well. Also, Theanine is what you are meaning, it is separate from Caffeine but Theanine acts on GABA receptors (the main inhibitory neuromodulator/transmitter in the brain) by binding to glutaminergic receptors and then (glutamate is the main excitatory neuromodulator in the brain) because the glutamate cant attach itself to the receptor to do its job, because the Theanine is bound to that receptor site stronger, the glutamate thus, turns into GABA the inhibitory receptor in the brain, calming you down. This injunction with caffeine, will make the caffeine more gentle and less anxiety provoking and have the caffeine effects having a smoother "ride", if you wish to call it that, by also not taking peaks and troughs, and letting the caffeine come on smoother and come down smoother, so you dont get such a caffeine "comedown", like with coffee or caffeine in raw form.
