Beckoning Spring - Shoyeido. Sitting on the front veranda, early morning. Sunlight filtering through the tree canopy. Birdsong, light breeze. Cool morning with the promise of summer. The blue smoke dances and curls. 🙏💚

Dreams of ChenLa - Kangiiten. Deeply Cambodian wood, heavily resinated, minty sweet. These are actually a little too much to burn in an enclosed room, ( such as my lounge). The scent can become too heavy. Definitely not the case when burnt in a much larger space with good airflow. I can smell this from the other side of the house many rooms away. Incredible.

Kyukyodo - Murasakino - A semi-blind buy based on a recommendation here - boy - this stick does not disappoint. Poetry in motion - tons of different notes floating in and out around the some of the best agarwood I have come across in a stick. I may be biased as I have seen the word purple used when describing this stick - but for a moment it felt like a swipe of Nha Trang Ko just floated on by. Awesome.

Cafe Arabic from Mermade Magickal Arts immediately followed up by a stick of KZ Dreams of Merauke. The first incense filled the space with coffee, chocolate and vanilla, cool minty frankincense and oud. The Merauke stick is adding its earthy loamy mineral wood notes. Sipping an icy Dalgona coffee. An excellent start to the day.

I'll have to look that company up. Sounds like a nice blend. Dreams of merauke pairs perfectly with coffee.

The Sundering Seas from Yi-Xin Craft Incense, a blend of agarwoods and Ambergris
From Ken at Craft incense in naming this incense: It is a term from Tolkien and Sunderland, the geologically indonesian term. There was this Indonesian agarwood blend I had made, intense and wild agarwood from all over the islands then tamed by ambergris.

All that genetic diversity in Sunderland has a why: why are there elephants on one side of this island, This one area of these islands, and this island don't have elephants or tigers elsewhare. There's a break-off and it's because of this ancient rift that happened. There's a deep continental shelf or something.

The Sundering Seas, for me, was a funny way of integrating Tolkien. When Iluvatar reshaped the world, the Sundering Seas were in the north and they reshaped Middle-earth. The ambergris and Sunderland, joined together. I just put as that was my personal fun little messing aaround with those connections in my head."

Hello Community, Just saw post on September 16th mentioning the incense company "Midnight Magickal Arts" is anyone familiar with their current offerings? (The "Cafe Arabic" is sold out) it will be my first purchase from this house and if anyone has a suggestion for a "must buy" (all their offerings look good to me especially the Jasmine).
Thank You
Mark
