Incense of the Day

[Andrew Salkin]

Tarakan sticks from dr I smell great! Have this cooling creamy sweetness to them!

[IntheRedwoods]

Started with Ken’s Guardians of the West, then new PNG and Nha Trang sticks after the wife went to bed. I really enjoy his sticks. JK’s new sticks are dynamite too! I’m burning more now than I can remember.

Seijudo Shiragiku

I read somewhere that Seijudo has huge stockpiles of agarwood and kyara. I’d love to take a factory tour😀

[KodoKing]

Ken's PNG! My absolute favorite stick so far.

Not super impressed with the Nha Trang - Its a more subtle scent for me I guess.

JK’s Malinau sticks are really nice too!

JK’s Green Kyara. Amazing to me...I love these sticks! I’d be super glad interested to get others take.

Those PNG sticks are indeed delicious

This morning I fired up Ken’s Ambon stick,
first batch, lovely stick which I think sometimes that it is too powerful😱

Kida Jinseido Hanakokonoe

I relish this stick....
the bitterness...
the agarwood...
the exquisite blend (whatever it is)
for my preference.....Lovely!

[Oudamberlove]

Homemade Borneo stick (Makko version)
The makko adds woodiness and a touch of dry spice,
ideally... I should use less makko next time.
The agarwood itself is truly beautiful.

[IntheRedwoods]

JK's new Meroke stick. Very nice burn, I'm really enjoying his recent additions!

More Hyraceum with Sandalwood

Very potent muskiness,
must use sparingly.

....and Dr. Incense Kalimantan

Makes me think of vanilla ice cream,
with a little fruit compote on top.

What ratios did you use? Agarwood : Makko : White ash

[Oudamberlove]

I used Baieido Makko at about 20%, next time I will try 5-10%. No white ash, nor anything else.

[Oudamberlove]

Animalic medley....
Sandalwood with ambergris,
then with castoreum,
then with civet,
then with deer musk,
then with hyraceum.

Sometimes it seems like I’m self-medicating😀

Thanks! I have a bunch of grounds - was going to try to make incense.
