The chinese been getting lots of this auction and ofcourse they resell for triples with ther bullshit marketing lol.1280g Kyara chunk from the vaults of Shoyeido on the auction block.
Opening price at ~ $100g. USD
Can only imagine the closing price.

I guess it's their money in the end and of course whoever gets it can do what they like with it but I find it kind of distasteful that anyone with this kind of buying power can dictate the market of such things with these outrageous costs.

Yea its ther money, however many now avoiding selling them because of ther greed and destroying the market with ther stupidity and bullshit.
Another thing is, they experts as they claim most of them, many of what you get by them classified wrong or just used to drain more money from customers.
Yesterday i put two storys in instagram about two different situations with chinese sellers big but one bigger than the other.
Another thing is ever ther market is divided and one shit on ther other.
Two days ago i saw video on we chat had Zhang Xiaowu who is one of biggest collecotrs and some consider him top talking about how there is lots of bickering between the collectors and sellers etc etc.
Regardless talking about this market is never enough however the lolz storys always good to see ;d

Description is Jayapura, Papua. Sinking pieces (after cleaning them). Fragrant at room temperature with a high freq, bitter-sweet medicinal, vanilla floral scent, reminds me of tuberose and orchid, orris. On coal it smells sweet, creamy, floral, a little citrusy. I’m not an expert on kinam/kyara hence why I asked for your opinion. But it checks most if not all boxes.
Edit: it doesn’t numb the tongue when chewed. At least the shaving I tried.

It looks great, high end Jayapura wood is exceptional imo, i remember some of them have a watermelon aroma too.
This is probably as some call soft silk grade, as some of its properties fragrance at room temperature etc.
