Got some Brunei black kinam, Hoi An bead shavings, two pieces of wild Hainan wood, and a Brunei sinking bead bracelet coming my way. Also ordered some Hainan oils to try out. Super excited!
Just got a shipment from perfume supply house - some “rose petals” from Robertet, sichuan pepper co2, And a couple other odds and ends.
This particular rose oil is a combination of distillate and solvent extract of rose, and it’s a really decent scent quite a bit like Rose essential oil in aroma but not quite so expensive.
This will be my first Malaysian of this caliber. The high marks for Malaysians in the favorite region poll inspired me to add that to my collection and I'm very eager for the postal service to progress my order.

Attar Jamal from Oudoloigy/Dr Parsun.
And a few other ingredients for my blends.....first order in oil since before Christmas 2021........
Feels like longer then that... 🙂
Ordered this one Tuesday and it's out for delivery today. Amman to Dallas in 2 days is rapid AF. Most of the sellers on ouddict use regular mail so whenever I purchase from one of these "mainstream" sellers, the quick delivery is always pleasantly surprising.
I believe this one has 7.5g of Chinese ouds so it's a good value on that metric alone. Looking forward to the wear.

Goals for next month - have a peak into @The Oud Lab offerings as I like to diversify and share the love when it comes to supporting smaller houses and vendors and hopefully find an oil up my creek.

I too have ordered some from EJ as well......this is good to know as I don't have a great deal of experience with burning wood to much...so low heat works best for this wood....great...thanks for that @Mr.P
It may be that more resin-dense kinam would also be great at higher heat but what I found with the cultivated kinam (and perhaps kinam and kyara in general for all I know) is it is more about evaporating an oil than combusting a resin. Some other varieties of agarwood smell really deep and hearty when skillfully combusted, but this wood doesn’t have the bubbling resin aspect, and tends to smell more like burning wood fiber at higher temperatures.
This is just for the lower grade wood shavings I have not tested this with sinking or near sinking wood.
My advice is shave it down to fine shavings or very thin “mosquito leg” splinters to get high surface area, heat on mica sheet, start as low temp as possible and gradually raise heat but do not combust.
