Phew…got in an order at Craft Incense today. With that and Kangiiten, I think I’m just about done with limited releases and setting up alarms and what not. Too much work!

But worth it. Since the same quality can neither be replicated nor found elsewhere. Japanese sticks only have a fraction of natural raw ingredients in their sticks!
I’m super excited about a package from Brother Ali in Sri Lanka to try a new oud batch and some sandalwood oil and Ceylon cinnamon sticks
I’ve known this distiller a few years now , I’ve seen his house with the upstairs distillery and have had many good long decisions on the topic of oud distillation, and life in general. Very nice and real person and
He knows his craft

Encouraged by brother @language scent in the other thread for a second round of Ky Nam oil, so had to knock on the door of some old contacts in the KY NAM and Kyara world's, packages on the way.
I feel for all our pockets when I go into these projects.🤯🤦
@EJayB No one can have enough Brunei oud. 😁 it's one of my favorite regions.
With Khao Yai, I generally get zesty fruit and vibrant florals.
how would you describe your experience with woods from Khao Yai?
Warming sun (distilled cultivated sinensis oil) and a co2 oil sampler pack on the way from grandawood. The Warming Sun is a nice take on cultivated sinensis. Pleasant and distinct in its top notes which are velvety in a kind of different way.
I’m at a loss for how to describe it. Now that I know the oil a little better I can clearly see that it is from sinensis wood… The profile is there but it’s presented in a slightly different package than I’m used to smelling it in so to speak. No violets or wildflowers, pungent… ack… I do not have the words to describe. Some goldenseal root dryness and dried sanna/galangal and some resin notes, this smells like an oil that will develop nicely. You can detect that carrot seed and Nagarmotha note i have
smelled in other oils from this species.
Layers very nicely with co2 sinensis extracts yowza!
If anyone who has smelled this can help me out here describing its nuances I’d appreciate it.
