still waiting for kyaras, rakoku, manaban from yamadamatsu 250Years anniversary set, along with many other kyaras and viets, waiting sure suck
I hate waiting and it is what will be my main reason to quit buying. second main reason is the pocket. I have been waiting for a package almost monthly for the past 2 years and it has made me not live in the now as much because the whole time waiting and wanting the time to pass faster, i think this has made time go by faster in general. now time goes by faster. strange

You are waiting two years for a package?....😯😯

no brother, but a package a month and these packs take about 10-16days to reach me. the wait feels like it is causing my consciousness to configure itself to make time pass faster.
Materialistic pursuits tend to go screwy one way or another I guess, a lesson in patience and appreciating what you’ve got maybe?

I never stated that I do not appreciate what I have. I appreciate what I have and I enjoy it. As far as patience goes I am a marble sculptor, it takes a very long time to hand carve things so my patience is advanced. I do not view woods as materialistic because they contain offer something much grander than wood fiber. I am an Idealist 100%. It seems I just have realized that with the power of the mind I am very capable of distorting the way I feel time.

Let me share my 'woes' .... In Bangladesh, we have to pay between $25-45 as tax each delivery if we use DHL, FedEx and the likes - even if the item is valued under $10. So essentially I end up paying about $60-90 shipping each delivery. 😠 Whereas with registered airmail or EMS, it is zero for oils. The highest I paid was around $10 for some incense and some sprays. Though they're slow (ranging between 7-90 days), I always prefer the Reg Airmail and EMS. I place my orders and forget about them. I know they'll be with me.

Unfortunately some countries don't allow liquids (referring to oils) to be sent via public postal services. I'm not sure why though because some other countries can. Any idea? Has it got anything to do with airline/postal insurance or lack of cross border treaties re posts, local government restrictions or something else? Anyway, for such items, I usually ask the seller/distiller to send those to my F&F in other parts of the world who regularly travel here.

Dhl does the same here in Greece. Their customs are parasites feeding off the people. What I do is have the sender add a paper that will be visible to the customs declaring a gift that I paid only 5$ But very important to clearly state that the shipping was also a gift and also when paying have them send a separate 5$ invoice on PayPal that says also on it that discount and free shipping gift so that I can show the customs and tell them it is not justified to rob me in this way. It doesn’t always work. Recently it did

Are DHL and Fedex taking just as long?

I understand the frustration, so I make sure to buy only with fedex or DHL so I get my wood as soon as possible.

And with shipping I do my best to keep the cost of fedex and dhl as minimal as possible to allow people to receive their woods the same week they purchase!
