Apart from that, the letter I got from customs explained
that I should do the do KT.2, KT 9, SP-5 or KT-13
In PP 14 of 2002 concerning Plant Quarantine. However,
The regulations no longer apply and have been replaced by PP Number 29 of 2023
so that regulation PP 14 of 2002 is revoked. These rules can
checked in the website https://peraturan.bpk.go.id/Details/52401 . Therefore, my goods should not be subject to PP 14 of 2002
and PP Number 29 of 2023 because they do not fall into that category
because my goods is WOOD. Please for the customs officials to be
more carefully check the latest rules.

I went to the customs office and they were a bit afraid when i wanted to pay to them. It seems their boss will make the decision how much i should pay to them. I think they will release it

Free the agarwoood !!

Just made my first Dr incense order .
I love quality craft products, made by the artist who sells it. I am trying hard to support artists.
Artist work hard to produce high quality products that they have pride and passion for. So much commercial grade incense out there being mass produced and resold 10 times from the commercial factory to the end customer . That’s what turned me off to incense in the beginning when trying “artisan incense “ it wasn’t artisan it was commercial.
Really looking forward to the first DR incense order.
Did you order any of his processed agarwood sticks? Interested to hear your thoughts on them. Maybe a processed oil is possible.

Congrats on your purchase, I'm a big fan of Dr. Incense's offerings. I grabbed 15g of the Processed Philippines myself. I'm certain you will be pleased with what ever you got. I prefer his single source items, but have also enjoyed his blends as well.

EO Port Moresby

And a Borneo oil from @Faizal_p that has no name as far as I know. I highly recommend getting some if it's still available.

Port Moresby over Abu Yog? Please post about it!

Also, still waiting for you to try RPP’s Borikhamxay. I think you’ll really dig it if you like New Gen stuff!

Some oils from Eden on the way…

Carnation
Grapefruit
Monarda
Petitgrain
Petitgrain absolute
Clove bud
Fresh ginger
Lime
Spikenard
Petitgrain sur fleurs

I received both Abu Yog and the previous distillation of Borik in a trade yesterday(2nd distillation).

I haven’t swiped Abu Yog yet but it smells pretty good from the dipstick. I need to swipe it to say any more about it.
Doo it… would love a comparison of Abu Yog vs. Port moresby (I’m sure others are with me on this).
I’m wearing Laos Ant Wood right now and it’s good. Smells sort of kinamic with a nice cinnamon note. Still deciding whether there be distillation is likely to be good enough to warrant $500/g. I’ll have to pick it apart more.
Did you get the test batch or the final batch…. The final batch is a significant step up in terms of “performance” in my opinion. Same general profile but “boosted”

Will be hopefully getting in some beautiful Diao Kou from Yunnan province. And also two large pieces of Lao Ding (extremely old almost petrified char) from Quảng Nam province. I have some Canton Sinensis that Mr P and some others have tried but I haven’t officially listed it yet.

Here’s a beautiful piece that arrived with the batch from Guangdong:

As for my favorite love, rose, I’m hoping to get a re-up on Maysaan, perhaps some Sultani and Ward Al Ta’ifi Insha Allah.

Sure. I’ll at least say something about both. I think they will be pretty different and maybe not fit for a direct comparison. The description of PM doesn’t make it sound similar to AY. I can tell you already that Abu Yog is very different from Pinoy. Probably different from any Oriscent oil, as it doesn’t really fit the aesthetic. Both are filaria, but there’s air of variety within filaria.

I just took a small swipe of AY for the first time and it actually smells a bit like an SQ oil. That’s what I probably would have guessed if I didn’t know what it was. Very deep and resinous scent and a purple hue. I assume that it must be distilled from similarly high quality wood.

I think the first batch was only sent out as free samples. Batch 2 was sold on Ouddict because it was a small batch, and never released on his store. The third batch is Borikxamhay. The 4th batch is so far unreleased, and described by JK as being like the the third batch, pitched down an octave. On a side note, I hope he changes the name for the next release.
Why is that?
Did you try the first or second batch originally?
Second batch^ and Borikhamxay

@oud.tripura (instagram) reached out to me today asking if I'd interested in reviewing their oils.
I said yes. so here I am, writing my anticipation.

@Aroma Sublime also gave me several sandalwood oils along with frangipani essential oil.
I wrote a bit about the sandalwood sampler but it still need more touch.

I also have some oils from @RisingPhoenix that I received several months ago. I wish to write about them too when I have the time to do so.

I’ve ordered a bunch of vanilla pods from several online retailers recently.

I’m thinking of macerating the vanilla in sandalwood as I’ve seen multiple people do this online.

I’m still trying to source a quality sandalwood that I can buy in larger quantities for a reasonable price however.

I’m hoping for Indonesian or Indian sandalwood(doesn’t have to be Mysore) but it’s eluding me.
