Ye
What is the last picture? Is it a microscopic image of the wood? What is the blue looking stuff? The resin? and the black liquid is the oil or other way around?
Ah it's the microscope makes it look more blue, it's actually dark brown/black. But yeah it's solid resin mostly and yeah that's the oil veins looks real tasty under the scope

Went all out and grabbed me a few bottles from Russian Adam's newest release ... The Musk Series @ areejledore.com
Paradise Soil-(featuring Deer Musk)It is reported in the sound narrations from the final messenger of God about Paradise that "its soil is musk" and "its soil is saffron." Those two marvelous ingredients are presented in this floriental gourmand composition.
Top notes: Azerbaijan rose from 1972, jasmine grandiflorum, ylang, and vintage deer musk pods (grains and skins).
Heart notes: tuberose, champaka, raani flower, Siberian deer musk, cocoa, and saffron.
Base notes: aged Cambodian Oud, Indian, and Indonesian sandalwood.
Creme de la Creme-(featuring Ambergris)The most precious woods meet the most mysterious animalic ingredient: ambergris.
The minty butter of sinking oud meets the creaminess of sandalwood and melts into the powdery clouds of ancient white ambergris.
Top notes: sinking Phillipines oud extract, antique clary sage oil, and ambergris resinoid
Heart notes: Indian sandalwood oil distilled in a copper pot using waters of rose, jasmine, ylang, and kewra, various spices, orris, and sandalwood absolute.
Base notes: wild Malinau agarwood tincture, sandalwood CO2, and ambergris tinctures.
Royal Barn-(featuring civet)Come with us to the deep past, when the royal palaces of the Russian Empire were surrounded by naked nature and hand-made houses and barns in the wilderness. This is a civet and oud driven floriental chypre that takes us to the wildest corners of our history.
Top notes: mandarin leaves, vintage Indian civet, and artemisia.
Heart notes: co-distillation of several flowers, including palmarosa, rose, jasmine, tagetes, and champaka.
Base notes: black truffles, fresh Ethiopian civet, tonka beans, vanilla, Bhutan oud oil, hay absolute, and cedarwood.

I had to pass on the last two in the series primarily due to I'm broke now. and beaver and skunk didn't trump the ones I picked.
But all I can say is that although I have not yet even taken a whiff of this release everyone in the world should at least try and experience the creations of this truly gifted artist he never disappoints.

Note: 1 hour into the launch item's are listed as running low... I'm surprised they haven't sold out already..

I was looking at ALD release and felt my impulse to buy kick in and I added 2 to my cart, then sat for a few minutes considering and decided against it. $800+ on blind buys just for the novelty of smelling something new....nah. The cost's not really an issue but I'm sticking to my decision to buy less. Was also a good inner practice of sticking to an inner resolution
I have blind bought every ALD bottle that I own and figure it's often a safe buy as they hold their value for resale but thought better of it this time around. Am surprised to see them still available 17hrs later!

Loving the display of unbridled willpower.. my hero. I’m gonna start another thread “what I saved”

I ordered some mini v vials with OudZheng and Hirta Gold from AlHindOud. I love his clean oils, so I’m sure they’ll be awesome.
I also decided to buy my first (baby vial) artisanal sandalwood oil from AlHindOud. I’m very curious whether I’m going to fall in love with sandalwood oil like I’ve fallen in love with oud.
