Four different Hindi oils, with different shades. Four different distillations, and soaking time is different for each batch.

Now a lot stuff being awaited other than four bottles.

I haven’t heard anyone mention Tajul in a long time. He has a great reputation as a craftsman from what I have heard.


What kind of soak durations? I am always curious to hear how different distillers approach this aspect of oud production. Thank you, Rai!

Here is some Sweet Trat oud sample I ordered from PureOudh and received today, with some extra gifts. 🙂

The wood and the frankincense smell very nice. This is undoubtedly the best frankincense I’ve tried so far!
I bought years ago two times larger amounts of frankincense on ebay, it was decent. A year ago I bought 50 grams locally in my country, but I was very disappointed with quality.
This one on the other hand is on another level. Makes me feel like throwing away my previous frankincense to the trash bin...
The wood smells sweet and nice too... A divine smell when heated together.
But I don’t know what types are those, there is no label, I will ask PureOudh support when I have a chance.

I still have quite a bit of Sweet Trat left that I received as a kind gift from @powdernose. But I wanted to share some with my friends who have never tried any oud before, that’s why I ordered some more.


I’m waiting now impatiently for Ruh Khus from OudhAroma and Indonesian Vetiver from RoyalBengalOuds. 🙄

This patchouli is quite affordable and I just saw on my etsy account that the vetiver purchase is not shipped yet... So I’ve just messaged Ish asking if it’s possible to combine two purchases into one. Perhaps it’s not too late yet. 🙂 I just hope etsy won’t mark it as some kind of violation of something. 😕

Respected Mr P, I have directly asked Mr Taj the same question. Soon I will post what he shared to me about soaking time and its effect.

Of course, what the aroma reflects will be shared after my trying the oils.

It is indeed the Tigray. Lovely lovely oil. I was (like always) impressed by the clarity of the scent. A magnification of the best aspects of frankincense.
But the true star of the package is the Heliophilia blend . Will make sure to leave the reviews after I wear these a couple of times.
