600 members is the benchmark to become the largest such group on Facebook. I’m sure we will get there and exceed this number.
Typo... 6000 members!!!! Not 600. We have some way to go!

It is in process to become private. There is some requirement by facebook that it had to be public for 3-4 days. However it will be converted to private by tomorrow. Will you guys make the group private eventually? Or will it stay public?

How have you been doing?
Hey bud, yeah - great to see you here! I'm well thanks, actually recorded a video on Monday that I need to follow-up on and then post - my first fragrance-related youtube video this year 😅How have you been doing?
It's jbs1 from Basenotes and Jomathon Be Swift from YouTube.
I'll look out for it.Hey bud, yeah - great to see you here! I'm well thanks, actually recorded a video on Monday that I need to follow-up on and then post - my first fragrance-related youtube video this year 😅
There's very little to no discussion going on that I've noticed but I believe that's the point. It's for sales/swaps only. There are definitely a number of posts a day. The page seems to be doing it's thing well. Unless you want to monitor what people are putting up for something in particular I wouldn't worry that you're missing something.I don't have a Facebook account and I'm curious to know what I'm missing out on here. Is this facebook group pretty active, and is there any discussion beyond postings related to sales / swaps?

It's an exchange Group Mr. P. The exchange is for items. However, I would imagine people exchange DM's.I don't have a Facebook account and I'm curious to know what I'm missing out on here. Is this facebook group pretty active, and is there any discussion beyond postings related to sales / swaps?

not able to find this group. have i been blocked for some reason. sam amaze is the FB id.Dear Ouddict Community,
I’m excited to introduce a new addition to our growing fragrance family—the Ouddict Exchange Facebook group! This group has been created to provide a more fluid space for members who are looking to trade, exchange, or sell their ouds, attars, and perfumes. While the Ouddict Exchange will offer a more commercially focused environment, I want to emphasise that it is not replacing our beloved forum—it will run in parallel to it. We will open the Ouddict Exchange to the general membership within the next 24 hours and if anyone wants to become a moderator on the Facebook platform, please contact me by DM.
The Ouddict forum remains the central hub for in-depth discussions, knowledge-sharing, and exploration of the olfactory arts. Whether you are delving into the complexities of oud distillation, comparing rare ingredients, or engaging in rich discussions about the art of fragrance, this forum will continue to be the platform for meaningful conversations and learning. It’s where our passion for perfumery goes beyond transactions and into serious discovery, research, and appreciation.
That said, the Ouddict Exchange group will offer a complementary experience, focusing on the marketplace aspect. Vendors on the forum are, as you know, strictly limited in where and how they can post their items for sale. The Ouddict Exchange Facebook group provides a freer space where trading and selling can take place without these restrictions, giving private collectors more opportunities to exchange their treasures. However, the forum remains, first and foremost, a place for the serious connoisseur and fragrance enthusiast.
Looking to the future, we are also thrilled to announce that we have a major update planned for the forum, with a roadmap to modernise and enhance it for 2025. Expect improved media capabilities, new resources, and a more user-friendly experience. These upgrades will ensure the forum stays at the cutting edge, while continuing to provide the depth and richness we’ve all come to appreciate.
So, if you’re looking to engage in commercial activities, feel free to explore the Ouddict Exchange group. But for those deep dives into the art and science of fragrance, our forum will always be the heart of our community, and I’m confident it will only grow stronger as we head into the future.
Thank you for being part of this journey—whether you’re here to explore, learn, or trade, we have exciting things ahead!
Best regards,
Nadeem
