Hello everyone! I am originally from the states, but now live in Suffolk, UK. I am a long time fragrance lover and I am an avid fan of many YouTube fragrance reviewers. I just recently purchased some samples from feel oud, imperial oud, and the rising phoenix. I am excited to get my nose on them and let everyone know what I think. My favorite fragrance right now is a tie between Anubis and Oudh Infini. Hopefully I can make some friends here, and I look forward to my fellowship with all of you.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you joined. 🙂

Assalamu Alaikum Everyone,

I am writing from Dhaka. My appreciation and intentional use of agarwood oil is relatively new. But I was aware of it for a long time. Anyway, now I can't live without it!

For that I must thank Nikhil and Sultan Pasha for rekindling my love for attars and agarwood oils. I m also aware of Ensar, Al Shareef Oudh, Agar Aura, Feel Oud and others - will be venturing into those very soon. 🙂
What I found really amazing is when I combined a dahn al oud (probably Cambodian) from Al Haramain (available locally), and Taif rose oil. It was something deep, strong and quite incensy (sorry I lack fragrance vocabulary). Equally importantly, ever since I started using Sultan Pasha's attars, it is been a quite expensive 'trip' for me! 😛

I hope to learn more from members of this wonderful forum.

Bests,
Ashfaque

You live in Suffolk... now I'm jealous. I moved to London from Ipswich last year, but long to return. Suffolk is the best county in the UK by far - a hidden gem.

Welcome to Ouddict!

Hello and salaams to every one. My name is Zakir and I'm from Bombay. I've been reading a lot of the posts here. My first impression is that there are some really experienced folks on this forum who have years of olfactory skill sets under their belt. Its also great to see the camaraderie and often healthy banter. There is an unmistakable softer side which I see in all oudh heads🙂. I have been chasing oudhs for a couple of years and have been going through the pleasures and pains associated with it. I currently hinge more towards the Cambodian and the greener side. Recent pick is Laos 95 and hoping to learn much more here.

Hello, and Salam everyone. I started my Oud addiction when I visited a shop in Istanbul selling "white oud" (looking back on it now it was probably synthetic) but needless to say after smelling it I was instantly hooked, and I went straight home at the end of the day and started doing research. There I found Ensar's website and started my oudication on his blog. That in the end brought me here where I hope to learn more about oud every day!
