Hi friends!
During my long absence I dried 1 bag to a state of 30.7 grams.
The bag I got from the hunter. This Altai musk musk deer (only in musk black) from other regions of Russia it will be brown.
This bag is smaller than the previous and it has more debris (hair)
In the photos you can see the total weight and the weight of the empty skins of 9.8 grams.

Therefore pure musk is almost 21 grams.

2. Fur and deer meat is not used because there is a strong characteristic odor of musk (used only canines)
3. The Russian Government strictly controls the population. In Russia, for illegal poaching of this animal the punishment of a large monetary penalty to 7 years imprisonment. Service to control the population size of rare species of animals very good at his job and often catching offenders.
The quota in the year to shoot across is 1500 individuals in a year!
We produce musk is only legal.

I’m absolutely ignorant on this subject, but just curious why no sales of fangs? I’m not interested at all, just genuinely curious. Only reason I can think of is to avoid creating a market similar to ivory, which is a great reason not to sell.

Thank you for asking, as this is forum based around Oud and natural perfumery we don't want to allow the sale of any products non fragrance related. If we did this would then open the floodgates to all sorts being sold here

Thanks for the explanation. I was overthinking the reason behind it, but selling non Oud related products makes sense.

Also because they may be illegal to purchase in the jurisdiction of most members. @NinjaRobb is the only musk seller allowed to be a member of this forum as his musk is legal at the point of origin and obtained through humane and sustainable means as described by him above. However, even with him, his request to open a store was declined as we do not want to create issues for members.

As I stated in my previous post, musk is ILLEGAL in most countries and there are strict regulations surrounding its purchase. We have been approached several times now, by new members with no history on the forum (not you) via PM and publicly to ask for musk. To the management of the forum, this is highly suspicious and either the people who are doing this have no idea about what they are asking, or there are other motives.

So, there is a history here and a context for my "horrible" post. If we have to be horrible to protect the integrity and future of this forum we will not hesitate. We would rather make a very clear and unambiguous point to everyone, than allow this irresponsible behaviour to continue which it has for too long.

And by the way, when I referred to irresponsible behaviour, it was not aimed at you, but rather some other members who have zero discretion on the matter. Please accept my apologies if it caused you upset and I will separate that response from the reply to you accordingly.

Yes... already clarified. Absolutely no question that I was referring to @sg1011. He is a long term member in good standing. The post was aimed at some new members whose first action is to PM me and/or forum management and ask for musk to buy... and then publicly posted here asking for 10g of raw deer musk grains. For the record, if its already in a product such as a mukhallat or blend, its not an issue, but we cannot be seen to facilitate illegal trade in raw musk grains. We are lucky to have a musk source @NinjaRobb here, who is legal (in Russia) here, so lets be sensible and do things legally and discreetly.
