Wearing Kopi Luwak by RPP due to a sample swap I made with a fellow ouddict :praying:
Loving it, reminds me of Sicillian Vanilla - if I smelled it while drinking some damn good coffee 😉 (there IS a popular culture reference in that sentence!).

Vintage Three Musks Mysore Santal Maceration & Lavender Blend: Though top note is Lavender, but after a few minutes, Musk, Santal and Lavender strolls having arm in arm. Loving this spectacle.

Vintage Musk maceration is a magic potion in any blend. Wait for a few minutes, and then there's no end to fragrant horizons.

Incense Tsunami by @Ashfaque summer afternoon clarity of scents, defined intensity and deliberate projection, fabulous work! MashaAllah.
SubhanAllah, I'm honoured that you liked it that much, brother. JazakAllah khary🙂

I'm grateful to you, Abdullah, Farid, Sultan, mumsy and some other wonderful people for helping me to learn about oils and blends and most importantly, encouraging me to continue this hobby.

Pearl by Tyson: Divine! A parfum oil, and that much identical to the fragrances in Nature. Baby skin and baby breaths! Lovely. Fruits are there, but not solely fruity. Flowers are there, but not entirely floral. Mysore is a true mystery as its sacred water, hydrosol- has metamorphosed the final aroma. A baby cackles, and the smile on its face and the divine fragrance of its breaths have a pivotal place in this parfum. And, of course, Tyson's post-commercialism sensibility is a catalyst that is what I always try first the moment I uncap the bottle.

As usual I got three bottles. The first itr that enables one to relive the innocence of childhood.

Dear Tyson, I am just awaiting some Oud oil to be distilled by you. Put aside technology and tweaks, your presence and your being conscious about quality wood are enough for me to be the first buyer. Indeed I would consider it a blessing.

One day ill distill some agarwood , im buying a couple 20 year old trees in india that are already 13 inches in diameter , were cutting out small caves in the trees on different areas were wild honey will be applied into the small caves , this will inoculate billions of different spores fungis bacteria ect from the ants and bees and other insect's,the honey will be applied once a month and then for many many years of course this is a long term project and one I hope that others will follow with 20 year agarwood resin infections rather than 2-5 years . Unless im there to process the tree from the fist stage I don't think id distill it , agarwood is just too much tainted by paints oils fillers and such that I cant see myself finding anything I can distill

This is my hand crafted blend of various florals, spices, ouds and incense.

Here are the oils in the blend - Taifi Rose, Ruh Gulab, Ruh Motia, sandalwood (mysore), saffron, shahmama, Amber Absolu, sandalwood, Oud Hindi, Oud Cambodia, Frankincense, Myrrh, copal.

Is there a quickest way to age it?

Any recommendation on how age it or tone down since there are few sharp notes in the blend?

I get a incensy leather rose with coolness of sandalwood around a circle of oud with spices in the background. I guess it is saffron which causes the leather profile in the blend?

Dear Hosayn, if you have tried Cuir Chypre from AA, read the Cuir note, and then think over the presence of Frankincense. Frankincense, Oud, Sandal can lead to this aroma, in my opinion.

PS: Saffron Oil: Can saffron be distilled, or is there some other way to have its aroma IN some oil?

Never tried any of AA’s blends or oud.
