I’m glad you’ve ended up enjoying Brunei K, I think it’s great wood. Initially, I wasn’t perceiving the variation in profile you first mentioned. However, recently during a session I put a chip on the sub & aroma was definitely different from the previous piece. While the previous piece was Kinamic in the top note followed by a dense red fruit sweetness & a slightly musky Oudiness the other piece smelt more Indonesian with a black resinous note, more jungle green-mossy & much less of the Kinamic top. Both pieces still very nice.Brunei K
Today’s piece opened with sharp notes,
I might have to ease up on the temps next time, but as usual, nice scents.
Did you manage to get your hands on any of the others?I’m glad you’ve ended up enjoying Brunei K, I think it’s great wood. Initially, I wasn’t perceiving the variation in profile you first mentioned. So far in my experience, Brunei K smells great at low temp, but once it gets too hot it can exhibit a harsh note like you mentioned. Also, smelling right from the jar at room temp - a beautiful aroma.
Brunei wood, it always impresses!
Not yet brother, I’d like to sample the Prachin.Did you manage to get your hands on any of the others?
How do you know what wood to post about if most of your woods are mixed?Maunamoku Nha Trang char
A lot of my other oudhs are mixed lots,
but these Nha Trang char is a single batch.
It’s a good feeling to know what to expect😊
Kept it at low at first, and very gradually increased the heat……yummmmm.
By mixed lot I mean one type of agarwood, but different profiles, different trees. How do you know what wood to post about if most of your woods are mixed?
