maybe .15-.2g
Where did you get it? What are the notes? I had 20.8g of mixed Filipino wood ages ago, some were Sinking grade, some Semi-Sinking and some good quality and only like 1 gram of a bad bit. Got it for free from someone I met before coming here on reddit. He is also on here his name is Marc L. He doesn't post, though. But the wood was awesome, but back then all I did was burn on coal so it didnt last too long. If I was heating it, it would have lasted me probably a year. Also, just asking, no hostility, why were you making a comment on judging quality by smell and longevity after my post? My post was mainly about me making a kind of bakhoor with some high quality plantation Sinensis chips lol. The plantation Sinensis is actual such high quality, that even with all the super high quality wild woods I have (like Ceram Sinking by EO), the smell out of the jar (not the one with the scraped off Indian Masala, a jar with just the chips in) is the strongest room temp wood I have smelled, very woody, oudy and fruity at room temp in a jar.

This was the wood.

A beautiful sunny Melbourne morning, it’s going to reach 38 degrees Celsius with the temperatures to remain hot for several days.
I’m wearing Ward Imperiale from An Najwa on my beard, Nusantara - ASO on my wrists while heating Hindi Raja - The Oud Lab on the sub. An excellent combination.

Ward Imperiale is the best Ruh Gulab I’ve smelt, a perfectly balanced citrus-mint-woody-floral profile. Pristine floral freshness, nothing metallic, green or overly spicy. I often start my day with splash of Rose oil in the morning. Rose has a strong psychoactive effect on my brain, alleviating tiredness & stress.

Nusantara - I adore what Al Shareef does with Indonesian wood, his top shelf Indo distillations are regal; dark, resinous, spicy, warm, incensey, while also capturing a cool oceanic freshness & bright floral-herbal character.
As Nusantara wears on the skin, it simply keeps getting better. The final phase is a dark, rich, sweet Oud resin. Toffee, dry fruits, Bakhoor smoke with a lingering touch of fresh oceanic saltiness. Another refined & Royal oil from ASO.

Hindi Raja - The Oud Lab. Not only is the aroma out of this world, the wood looks beautiful with all the streaks & pockets of deep resin.
Creamy, spicy, leather, floral. On the sub at low temp a heavenly sweet resinous aroma fills the room. A perfect example of Indian Malaccensis-Agallocha. Although my nose isn’t refined enough to detect the subtle regional differences within Hindi Oud, Manipur offers something different than Assam. However the top note of all Hindi wood is so distinctive, as soon as it hits the sub or coal you know it’s Indian.

This morning i started with NTT sandalwood.
And Alhamdulillah woke to a new day, just a coffee and some sandalwood sounds very simple and usual, but i can swear Steve Jobs could accept to give all he has,for 1 hour of this season, end of his time

Naga Ken - The Oud Lab - I've finally mastered the waiting game needed for using charcoal, and I couldn't be more pleased. Today's the second day I've tried a piece of Naga Ken, granted I picked a smaller piece and even then had to break it in two, I'm spellbound by the scent, it's intoxicating. The resin oozes and bubbles ever so gently, and even a small-ish piece has enough strength to fumigate one's clothes for the day ahead, or to enjoy on a chilly afternoon.

When the piece is done emitting it's fragrance, I add a piece of frankincense. I've been able to control timing to a level where a single piece lasts multiple coal sessions, and it never approaches smelling burnt, instead gently whispering its minty, refreshing notes. The whole process takes a bit of care to organize, but somehow waiting adds to enjoyment!

Got my Naga Ken as a bundle with the choice of either Garo Jing or Tai-O, honestly you can't wrong with either, both oils offer so much more than their region might suggest, I wasn't prepared to enjoy them as much as I am! Not to mention the 24 grams of Naga Ken significantly sweetens the deal, and the box they come in, let's just say, it's a box you'll want to keep!

Are you doing Kodo style charcoal heating?

Not at all Renton, classic Khaleej method, using those shisha coals, but I break off a small piece. Once ignited I let the coal burn until I can't seen any more red or orange embers, and all I see is a coating of white ash. Then gently place the chip on top, wait for the action to being! After I've flipped over the chip, and be careful with this, as you might pull off the ash coating, exposing the hot embers underneath, let it go some more, then introduce a small piece of frankincense to the side. If the heat is correct you'll get gentle smoke from the frankincense, without aggressive bubbling or certainly no burnt notes. After burn from this is also a lot nicer as well.

Alhamdulillah to a new day.
I woke up to a new day, I have a roof over my head, bread to eat, water to drink and peace to enjoy this moment.

In martial arts, the more one is advanced in the art, the more he/she appreciates other martial artists and sees the minute details and internal movements. It's like speaking a secret advanced language.

This is what i see in this post. You have a great nose brother!
Creamy floral is the signature of Manipur! The minute sub classification if you will. And as you said, all hindi is still hindi!

Hats off. Ossu! 🤜🏼
