Shoyeido - "Moss Garden" stick. Apparently, in these lower end rangers they come as both "rolls" and "boxes" - where the sticks in the boxes are tan coloured regardless of the scent, and the "rolls" are coloured and I've read the rolls are of higher quality and a strong smell too!

Well, guess who bought a bunch of boxes of these "Shoyeido Daily Incense" before reading this?!

This moss garden though is very subtle - it's burning perhaps 4-5ft away and I can't notice it. Perhaps it will linger and when I come downstairs tomorrow morning I will notice it throughout my living room.

Wild Sumatran super grade from @Russian Adam, on the Ko-doh bowl soradaki method. need to chip down and do a Mon-koh session to get a detailed assessment.
Also got in a shipment from @RisingPhoenix just as I was leaving for work can't wait to get home and rock out some Japanese Bakhoor, fell in love with it out at the Vegas ouddict "fayre" (pronounced Fair).

An incense, "Holy Land" by Tibetan Medicine Company of Traditional Tibet College - many thanks to dear @Oudamberlove for the chance to try this! It contains deer musk and is really pungent - I have it sitting besides me in my incense box, about 1/4 of the stick that I was sent - delicious heavenly scent 😀

I have a box of it on its way, and "Holy Land 2"- and wow, maybe like 25 other boxes? Maybe more....I've lost track. I've gone totally OTT with incense, ordered a lot of Japanese, Indian & Tibetan ones from all around the world.

It will be a fragrant week! I've burned probably 4-6 different incenses today as well as having my oud burning going the whole time. My house smells goooooooooood 😀 😀 😀 😀

Some of those high end Tibetans are outta this world!

Sarawak Sultan just a sliver on a thin sheet of mica .... inundation of aroma through my hair and clothes will keep me going till morning.
Thanx @Al-Hashmi for the extras

burned some Nag Champa from "pure-incense.com" earlier (based in UK too which is great for me!) - will now try their 'Green Champa'. The Nag one is outstanding, very very strong and rich.
About a year and a few months ago I was buying some of that world-famous "Satya" Nag Champa but it just seemed wrong, very thin with an unappealing scent. This one from Pure Incense absolutely destroys it! Well worth checking out 🙂

Also burning some oud chips that I was burning yesterday, think it was the Malacca from Al Hashimi. Great stuff, their woods are consistently amazing IMO

/update - swapped the oud for some Mysore powder from Tony Bolton @ AgarAromas. Have had the Green Champa incense burning while I showered, not as impressive as the Nag Champa. It's certainly green giving off an outdoorsy-type feel but lacks the depth and that immediate satisfaction of the Nag. I have 7 or so more sticks of it to turn, perhaps I will grow to like it more in time. Am considering ordering 50g of the Nag Champa ASAP - but I have loads of incense on route, including some other Champa so I may as well hold off until they all arrive 🙂

Warmed up some sweet Southern Thai wood gifted by @Tayib during our brief but fulfilling meet up .... looking forward to more of that!!
beautiful spicy notes ... the low heat was only able to tease out a few whiffs but this wood was majestic on the higher settings, so I opted to do the next few slivers on the coal, covered in ash of coarse. The experience got me thinking that I had gotten some "Southern Thai Malaccensis Super Wild" from Russian Adam several years back ... so I went to the vault (corner of my basement) and found my stash ... warmed up some slivers from the wood in that jar they were awesome as well but were not as distinguished as the ones that were gifted .... must be the generosity note,

Met up with some local frag heads and burned some Manipur wood, Timor Sandal, Brunei root, and finally some sinking filipino. We were blissed out!

Imperial Oud's Burma Wild on the Electric "Subitism / Gradualism" heater.
Opening notes are definitely green deep jungle, spicy notes follow unable to pinpoint individual spices, but suffice to say pleasant all around, the pieces are magnificent in oil/resin content and a small sliver lasts (on low heat) for several minuets.

I'm burning some cambodian chips someone gave me maybe 10 years ago. Don't have much wood from this region, so I don't know what a typical cambodian wood should smell like, but this one reminds me of Vietnamese wood in some ways - this ethereal sweet, almost floral quality on top of this delicious resinous hear note... and has soem bittersweet notes that vaguely bring kyara to mind.

Also these really dark Malaysian chips, again a gift. These are so dark that I was somewhat suspicious at first - they seem to be as much resin as wood, a very uniform dark color, and they sink in water. The quantity of black resin that comes out of these is beyond what I usually see, again making me wonder if it had been dipped or treated in some way (or perhaps are just really resin-rich chips of a higher grade than my other woods). The smell is nice - a little spicy / peppery, dry very resinous aroma, relatively clean.

I am heating this stuff on a home-made subitism style burner
