Vietnamese old farm wood from @Maunamoku on the subitism smelling good! Quality material with a fair amount of black bubbly resin as it heats. All notes are clean and appealing. The resin gives a nice robust phenolic burn backing the sweeter notes. Seems like this wood would shine across a wide range of temperatures.

Fuji Smoke 61kinds Kyara.

Sweet, thick gourmand creamy vanillic notes, milky, some mild sourness with a kind of yellow pleasant curdy note, sweet purple berries, sour red cherry notes, and sweet red berries, fresh white florals, golden honey, some light mintiness then right after it turns into a strong spicy + strong green mint that hits the back of your throat, jungle notes of luscious greenery, bitterness, semi-sweet earthiness, soil notes that turns into creamy milky chocolate and very dark bitter chocolate near end of the session, powderiness, including florals, resinous notes that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, wild jungle/forest flowers

Managa it was said. Kyara it was. This topic of managa has some crazy things going on with me. this is the third time i was given "magana" and it was luxurious kyara and all three times from very trusted sources.

So i receive the wood, i slice off some scrapes with the razor for the car lighter since i forgot the heater, seemed like hard woody kind of wood. The aroma was nice, smelled like incense sticks, like how a temple would smell if there were fresh flowers everywhere and incense lit everywhere also, some agarwood based, others sandalwood based and most kyara based. I was really excited for this wood! then i went home scratched off some more for the kinam heater, again seemed hard crunchy wood texture...nose felt blind.. difficult wood to master but i love a challenge. it is crazy how wood/nose/environment play a role in a session....i was not happy with it but i knew it is too early.....2weeks go by....i was looking at the wood, decided to slice a millimeter all throughout every side except the cross section..............................................................under this shell of wood, a soft and buttery kyara screaming gorgeous florals and bitterness dominating as if it was in extreme pain from the cut but all it knew was beautiful aromatic fumes......the scene...the bitterness very elegant, sweet and spicy....unique wood. in love. you hear bitterness and you think bitter but this bitterness is so beautiful and soothing in the flowers. it is really complex i cant divide the notes.....there is an apple pie with a unique spice that is not of cinnamon, it seems more citrusy but more on a flowery base....but i will be back when i can see more doors open.
