Green cultivated kinam slices on the subitism at moderate heat - a bit too hot - definitely need restrained heating with this material. There's a very long slow sweet experience at one level where the same wood chip can provide the aroma for days it seems…, and if you push it just a little more you can get something more complex with more roasted and medicinal notes... but just a hair too much heat in it becomes kind of harsh and muddled smelling. When you push this stuff even if you hit the sweet spot it becomes much shorter lasting. This is not a forgiving material if you don't get the temperature right... I think it has something to do with the aroma mostly coming from oil as opposed to resin - which will smell pleasant at higher temperature ranges. (?) I'm just trying to figure this out here I don't claim any expertise on how oil and resin and activated and release their aromas... there's definitely something mysterious going on with the chemistry at / near the combustion point

Beautiful woods!

Then i did Rakoku "Snow Plum Blossoms"
I don't know whenever i smell something super special it make me pump my breaks on buying lots of been offered to me locally or in China etc.
Finding those so hard and even harder getting a big piece of them, so valuable and so expensive...

Sadly lots of special is by grams or less i have and would want chunk of 5-6 grams but it seem almost impossible.
