Deeply thankful @Olfactory Nomad for your effort however... I had found this eBay posting earlier that seems to be the sole option, $410 for the burner and $115 for shipping charge that states that it is all encompassing, followed by a disclaimer below stating that additional tariff and charges are not included. has me scratching my head trying to justify this purchase.
could you please answer why you prefer this burner over other?

They can ship, that’s how I got Shokaku and Myoho.
With the current exchange rate it should be far less than the ebay one.
I paid $275 plus $20 shipping, but that’s from Kohgen, email= [email protected]

KYUKYUDO - "TIME RAIN"....
this kyara touches the soul. it is unbelievable the notes you think you are imagining but no they are actually there and i cant get enough of them. it is medicinal, it is elegant it is sexy atmosphere an it is raining like crazy outside...not literally....it is red, very red....it is velvety.....it is passion....extremely seductive wood

KYUKYUDO "reminiscence's"
what a crazy gorgeous kyara. i get super purple sweet florals, and a bunch of unexplainable complexities. have tried it so many times and i cant get past the sweet purple fruity like florals without the fruit...is it guava, is it pear....the gorgeous backbone just wont let you focus inn on anything else. the dominating beauty my nose doesnt want to let go of so that it can see and recognize what is there.

shoyeido vietnamese.
the pinnacle of vietnam....the effects mindblowing...i realize that supreme grade agarwood has even more effects than kyaras when it comes to euphoria and feelings of well being...of course this is 1 in every 20 gems. there is pomegranite-jasmine-thick cherry cloud but also apricot and lots of pear, mostly sweet and bitter and sour slight spices floating in and out and very little salt giving it a bubbly edge..the sour in it is ridiculously elegant, never thought i would have ever seen such a crazy good sournes before..at some point i thought was hainan but i keep going back and forth between sessions. the second session was all hainan...the first i was seeing more cambodi/viet....there is too much elegance for these tho

@Chip Burns that sounds about right. I spent $344 in incense at the Shoyeido online Japanese store (it‘s in English), and my taxes and tariffs was about $39. i directed them to the hts code for incense from japan, which stated it had no tax, but they said Trump changed that.
Shoyeido agarwood for Kodutu

Resin bomb🥰
definitely

the trumpedophile trumpuppet....i was super pro trump some years ago, but the fact he protects all those pedophiles and his lies about not needing anyones money then getting millions to be a puppet.....i hate taling politics but i cant, everytime i see this asswipes face or name it triggers me. they should deport his ass out of america lol

Kangiiten - Black oil Kyara. It's taken a little bit to get this to sing. This kyara has been a good reminder that expectations play a significant role when heating woods. First time with any kyara at all and I can happily say it is wonderful and unique. It took at least five seperate heating sessions to figure out which temp works best for it and to help release it's goodness. This all flies in the face of what I've read (or at least understood) for how kyara should behave when heating. Low temps did not work. I started getting a whisper at around 100 degrees but then it disappeared again. I eventually got all the way to 150 degrees and it was finally putting out a scent. I was still a bit disappointed however so I have left it alone for a couple of days. Now, coming back to it this morning, I dialed it straight to 150 but had to stop it at around 100 as I now felt like 150 was too high! Now, I am smelling this at full strength. Beautiful, warm mentholic honey notes. Quite distinctive from anything else I have tried. Which of the five tastes is this kyara? I have no idea? Can I compare it to CK? Absolutely not. Completely different. If I was to compare it against anything it would be against a sprinkle of sinking dust that was shared with me while in Hanoi last year. This was shaved off a log which more resembled a piece of beef jerky than wood. It lasted me an entire week. This is magic. More please!

I got a sample of this kyara from a very generous and kind friend many weeks back. I've heated it one time and it is nice kyara but nothing like the famous pieces or high end kyaras, it is nice beginner kyara with more sweetness and bitterness.
glad that you liked it! and you can now see the difference between wild vs CK.

Very happy with a beginner kyara as that's what I am.

Gently heating some green CK - beautiful sweet and tangy delicately woody, classic sinensis profile. Just beautiful!

everytime i read "ck" somewhere i feel sick mind goes straight to the aroma full blast and its painfull
sorry to hear it, it's good you know what you like and what you don't like. Boggles my mind that an oud lover would turn their nose up at a type of agarwood with this general profile that can be cultivated without inoculants and naturally forms resin deposits, but I think we're coming at this whole thing from very different angles.

honeylicious hainan sounds good to me!

Once a scent rubs you the wrong way, there’s no coming back. I never heat my ck either.
yeah I can understand burning out on a particular note in an essential oil and especially in a relatively simplified profile like a cultivated kinam will have.

I was worried that the process of extracting it would turn me off to the material but in spite of its subtlety I find the extracts of the raw wood to be pretty interesting. This is on a very specific level, as a skin scent and fixative, as a very interesting low impact material to add to the library of things that can act as carriers and blenders.

I did do some extracts of heated material, capturing the smoke itself, and then also baking chips to different degrees to see how that transformed the scent. I ran those at a little too high a temperature and this one overly phenolic note accumulated that I am now a little bit averse to unless it is combined with something else. I'm giving those materials a rest to allow my system to reset.

I have one. Love it, but I’m constantly losing the silver discs. If anyone knows where I can get any, please let me know! @Chip Burns , it’s pricy. I think I paid $380 for mine, but totally worth it. I’ve had mine for at least a decade. If you knock it over, which I constantly do in my cluttered apartment, it auto shuts off. The ceramic plate gets slightly warm to super hot; it burns wood and small bits of Bakhoor as if it were on charcoal.

Have you researched the SARA? It’s kind of the same, meant more for travel and is less expensive. You can find it here:

Find the email on the website. And ask them how much the KODACHI is. The SARA’s listed online but the KODACHI is only available by email. And they respond quickly.

Yours,
Joe

its not really the aroma thats the problem, its the feeling. i heated some good stuff but was way too much and the whole house saturated lol so it hit bad, felt like it was completely chemical
