In the spirit of the coming (presumably) Doc Incense Red soil this Saturday, I burned a small piece off the Red Soil he had last time. It’s my opinion Red Soil Wood and incense has more psych effect than any other Agarwood. There’s some narcotic properties in it which are VERY surprising. While Kyara has an uplifting “everything is right in the world” effect, Red Soil has a sleepy, narcotic thing. Can def see how some people would think it exceeds Kyara in some ways.

**footnote—- I am not saying the incense made me “nod off” like a heroin addict or anything, just that there’s a subtle difference
in the effect it has.

Crushed and heated some sticks.
Shoyeido Go-un, seamless blend of aromatics.
Shunkohdo Tokusen Kyara Tenpyo,
Spice and kyara, with a touch of honey.
Baieido Jinkoh Kokoh, the sandalwood surfaces first, then mellow spices and agarwood.
Shunkohdo Vietnam Zaarai, when burning the stick it’s quite smokey, but heated it’s like a sliver of agarwood.
Ken’s Brunei, I think this one is better burnt than heated.
My “Room”, is smelling Fabulous!

Declump your incense ash periodically with a WDT(weiss distribution technique) tool.

WDT tool is an invention of the coffee world. It declumps and evenly distributes the particles, thus making the water and air flow more evenly.

Made with several acupuncture needles and a handle, it's fast and effective.

Good aeration can increase the longevity of the ash by keeping it well-dried, preventing odors from accumulating excessively.

You'll be easily able to find this tool via Google search.

Dr Incense ~ Mugwort & Serene Heart. Both blends deft and masterful auspicious treats. Especially with the teas from Mount Wuyi.

Only sniffed the Prof. Fusen Red Soil Agarwood sticks from Kangiiten! I didn't inhale. But I'm in love.
Red fusen is a decent one isn’t it. More or less captures the profile of this rare wood. But still for the real deal a monkoh session with the actual wood is required.

should have just stopped using old names or so, even ther current highest priced sticks isn't there imo, while its nice with that price you could get lots of better stuff.
i bet in long run only you would see fugaku etc in stocks because of its price, not many buying it and i keep wondering how much kyara in that stick, or the 400 years anniversary tennendo.
