I used to burn a fair amount of that. Seems like it has a lot of benzoin in it. There’s a very sweet quality if I remember correctly.

How does one know when a kangiiten drop is coming?

This evening I burnt one ‘Green Kynam Super’ stick from Kangiiten for the first time. I don’t have experience with Japanese incense, but they were nice, a typical cultivated Kinam profile.
They have left the room smelling like slightly vanillic resin. Had anyone tried these? How do you rate them as an economical stick?

Also, at the same time I purchased Prof. Incense - Fusen Red Soil Agarwood sticks 5g. I’m yet to try these out, again does anyone here have experience with these? Are they good quality?

I’ve heated lots of Agarwood chips from various sellers & Skin Kyara from Kangiiten, but tonight is my first time burning sticks believe it or not!

I burned some of the powder that comes with the kangiiten trigram burner. Very nice medicinal herbal blend.

I’ve always assumed shoyeido is using something besides herbs, roots, woods and resins. I think natural isolates as opposed to essential oils just based on the aroma.

My friend made some kalimantan sticks with a hint of frankincense. The frankincense is melded in total harmony with the agarwood, perfect for the blooming summer warmth
I have found the two to go well together as well!
