Baieido Kobunboku
I bought this on a whim since it's cheap and I wanted to make my daily burns less expensive. Turns out, I like this even better than some of my high-end Japanese incenses. This is probably because I crave the sour, spicy, and salty tastes in incense profiles and many of my recent purchases did not really deliver on this front. Baieido's original Kobunboku legitimately smells like a smoky salted fermented plum paste, i.e. umeboshi. Kobunboku is so well balanced and tantalising; it really made me think more of Baieido as a competent incense house.
This sounds great. I have Kobunboku Kaden which adds in Viet agarwood. Interstingly, Kobunboku is plum blossom, which will be the next "form" that I learn in Kung Fu
