Kyukyodo's - Mukusa no Takimonō Range - Baika.

I have had a 20 stick box of these for a long time, like months and months, and they are also 2.25inches, so perfect for stick Monkoh session, but haven't wrapped my head fully around the scent yet, hence why I haven't really wrote about it, but I think I am getting there, still not 100%, I dont think anyway. I cant wait to go through all this range at some point (will probably take me another 6-12months to buy the rest on this range. Then I will buy their 6.7" rolls when I can, since they sound delightful.

Now onto the experience I had and the notes I picked out:

Lovey light pink and white florals with some purple, and lovely high quality resinous aloeswood note, soft with a creamy vanillic note (most likely the sandalwood), powderiness with a gentle, clean fresh white muskiness kind of like fresh laundry, honey and honeyed florals and resin, light to moderate spiciness, pleasurable dry sandal-woodiness (and sometimes some dry agarwood notes without the resin), quite fruity. I picked up on a very light and soft, gentle, slightly candy sweet and sour cherry note as well as a sweet red berry and purple berry kind of note, the colours where rather subtle but enjoyable, but the overall fruitiness was relatively strong.

Overall, very nice stick, and I do believe it will reveal more and more to me the more and more I listen to it intently, like I do with all very short sticks (Peaceful Sky for example).

Anyone like lotus 🪷 ?

[Ouddict.com] Incense of the Day

BLUE LOTUS!!! Egyptians used that flower for its psychoactive effects.
You can buy the little dried buds in TCM shops - like yellowish green rice almost. I'm not 100% sure that's the right plans because one thing I know is that there is more than one species that gets called lotus so it's important to know what you're looking for.

Samadhi by Dr Incense - what are your thoughts about it ?
It's a well loved blend, though I've never tried it. The Sinking and Ambergris version of Samadhi, called Enlightenment was without a doubt the best incense stick I've ever experienced! To date I'm still on the first stick, I burn about inch or less at a time and the aura it leaves behind is ... just something divine. It's a comforting scent, reminiscent of traditional Japanese sticks, high on the Reiryo Koh, as it burns I feel like I'm both able to relax and concentrate more at the same time. After a couple of minutes, you're met with an intense cooling aroma which feels the space. It's part herbal, part green, with a curry like aroma from the Reiryo Koh and a touch of sweetness. I burn a small amount not because I'm afraid of running out but because it's a very strong incense, and to fully appreciate it, a fraction of stick is sufficient.

Dreams of Chenla from KZ. I don't have much experience with cambodian oud. It's pleasant, but nondescript on the other side of the room. From a few feet away it gets far bolder, with a roasted coffee facet that then smelled like coffee and cream. Not getting much by the way of minty notes.
I appreciate this hippononamus! I was looking to purchase them a while back but wasn't sure what the difference between Dreams of An-Nam and this would be, I'm glad I held off. Funnily enough this was an issue I had with Dr. Incense Cool Moon, which was anything but cool in my experience. It's a possibility another stick or two and you'll be able to sense the minty notes better, and perhaps this stick was just an odd ball. But again in my experience you start to appreciate subtle notes better after a couple of sticks, however rarely do new notes show up in full force.
