Prof. Incense Soil Ambon - Not to be confused with Dr. Incense, who's a different person. I really wasn't a fan of these sticks when I got them, around April this year. They smelled kinda weak, light and with notes of burning wood. This morning I was able to appreciate them a fair bit more. There's a marked absence of resinous notes while it burns, it's dry and not even remotely sweet. Good lasting on clothes though, giving a dry woody background to whatever scent you might wear that day. The afterburn is where you'll enjoy this the most, it's a really strange scent. Not bad, but something very low key even though the stick is quite smoke-y, tolerable and way ahead of other sticks but it just feels like something is missing. These sold for about 10 dollars more than the Prof. Incense Blackmeat Mysore sticks, which I'd pick above these, any day of the week!

I have mixed feelings about these as well. They're nice but I don't burn them often. I did actually bring them with me to Vietnam. I went through a few of them in our hotel room and the profile was very different there than it is here in my home. But yeah,it's definitely all about the scent that's left behind with these sticks.

Dzongsar Traditional Incense - not to be confused with the more pungent variety, Dzongsar Traditional Tibetan, I wish I had known the subtle difference in name, because I was looking to try that one out, rather than this, but it was a welcome surprise. I must have burned 1 cm max of this and it was a room filler. Leans more on the woody side of Tibetan incense, as opposed to the muskier side. It's alright, aids alertness as do most in this category of incense, probably need to revisit it more often to get to more well acquainted with. For now though it's better than Five Fragrances, which is a win for me!

grinded & heated some white copal with green sacra today - while bubbling i get this beautiful minty, herbal, refreshing & calming scent, perfect to relax at nights during winter time.

I diluted different patchouli oils yesterday. And instead of throwing the pipetts (with a little bit of oil in them) away, I always try to get the remaining oil out and swipe it on scent strips.

I put the scent strip holder in the living room. It might not be real incense so to speak but my living room smelled great. Every time I entered the room I was greeted with a beautiful cloud of different patchouli oils.

You can still see the different colors on the strips.

Might as well make use of all that good smelling stuff!

I did something similar, but used Qtips cotton swabs instead of strips. I was testing some essential oils for a blend, and placed them at the entrance of my room. It sure was nice to be greeted by good scents.

My first successful incense extrusion. I bought a heavy duty extruder with a number of different sized tips. Much easier to handle than the cheap clay extruder that until now was the only thing available outside of a proper machine. 3ml sized Australian sandalwood sticks with a dash of Kangiiten An-Tai Koh powder for a little spice. Perfect steady burn. Will try some CK sticks soon.

I definitely will !! Thank you @Mr.P . I am working on some Rose-Patchouli combinations. I am really enjoying the combination of rose and patchouli.
I agree rose and patchouli go together so nicely. A little neroli adds a nice touch too. 🙂
