Tokusen Kyara Kayou is old stock, no longer produced. Kyara Seikan has too much reiryo koh for my taste, almost like Kunmeido Kyara Tenpyo/Tenchi. Kyara Houzan is great IMO, the spice blend is in my top 3, at room temperature the sticks have a green oil kyara smell, but I think Shunkohdo stopped making it, however, some stores still have it.
I see, i guess i should get myself a box!

Seijudo Kyara Enju nomnomnom

Yi-Xin assam incense stick. This is a darker scent. A lot an earth and damp wood. Bits of hay here and there with some rough mineral edges. Slight musky finish. Not much sweetness but I do get an occasional subtle hint of something that reminds me vanilla.

Overall I like this but liked the Sabah more.

Burned some some Kin Objects- Red Soil today. 20 sticks that are 8.25 inches long which is basically 40 sticks at 4.1 inches that most craft incense makers make. This was $46 with no tax and free shipping and I counted 23 sticks and so it was more like getting 46 sticks. $1 a stick is a very decent price for incense of this caliber. Their Red Soil and Nha Trang are by far their best stuff and probably the only things I may repurchase.
I like the Nha Trang a lot also. I received a distinct chocolate note and it's the stick that sent me down the agarwood path a few months back. I still haven't tried anything red soil yet, don't really know where to start with. On a related note, I recently received this and was very impressed. Sinking, wild, aged. It had the same chocolate note I experienced in the KO Nha Trang. At only $20 for 20 long sticks, I found it to be a great stick at a great price. I have really been enjoying the Bosen line: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C41ZYZNY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1IDTXKZGC2QFA&psc=1

Today I finished off the last of my cone incense that I had produced from Hainan char. Since being almost home bound now I guess I'll get busy on another batch. I've got some special Sri Lankan wood and hydrosol to play with.

Tried some TAS Fragrance- Cambodian and it was decent but I wouldn’t buy it. Their stuff has been a little underwhelming and I considered it but I probably for now would not buy from them. For similar prices I find some other makers things to be a bit better in general. I still have a bunch more to try from their samples and I will see where it goes.

take some Kalimantan Oud, sinking Cambodian, Mysore and Sri Lankan sandalwood, hand ground frankincense, moistened with Sri Lankan Oud hydrosol from Olefactory and toss in a pinch of Hindi Oud oil.

Ingredients are married

Given they were a bit too wet so carefully manipulated as they dried and final hand formed

Now drying time is a couple of days or so. They smell great just curing.

Very nice man. You need to get yourself a drying screen to sit them on. Will evenly speed that process up. I made cones myself for a while but I found that as the cherry gets closer to the base of the cone it became too hot for the ingredients and scorched them making the smoke acrid. You haven't found this?

I haven't but I have made a large hole up thru the bottom to allow gasses to escape, perhaps it also helps cool

Look at the bottom of the cone, see the cold stream of smoke condensing below? Placing a bore 1/2-2/3 of the way up seems to help these burn slower and cooler. 30-45 minutes each.
