I don't get along with sandalwood any longer. I did buy some granulated incense that has sandal playing a supporting role. But on its own I'm just tired of it.I used to love Ten-Pyo but not anymore. Once mine is gone I won’t be buying anymore. That has happened to so many Japanese incenses and a recent Kyukyodo Sho Bai Koh that I recently opened is now a let down also. Barely has any agarwood note in it and it’s basically a sandalwood incense now.
Beautiful stick brother, the sweetness is very elegant.Yes, myo-ho was my favorite preieium until it got the axe in 2021-2022. Somewhere around there.
I is chock full of Agarwood. I have a box and a half left for early retirement.
Its also, or was, called Inifinity.
Its full of kyara, about 50% of the stick is kyara. It went for $599, I think I have a bad memory For a box of 35 sticks. Its both sweet and deeply woody. I hope you enjoy it!
Best,
Joe

Beckoning Spring is very nice.I burned, with the windows wide open, Shoyeido’s Shunyou aka Beckoning Spring. It has an artfulyfull blend of Agarwood, sandalwood, spices, and some aged dark patchouli absolute.
The Agarwood provides the base on which spices burn. It’s very relaxing and luckily I don't get much of the sandalwood.
Its also not very heavy on the Agarwood. It’s actually very light. Its just the stage for the spices, clove?, patch, and sandalwood. There's nothing bitter about it. Its lush. I bought the box of 120, 7” sticks. And I also bought the box of the 9.75” sticks. I wish the windows wouldn't have to be open, damn it. I'd like the full experience!
Its the fourth in the Preieum line, for $55.00 in the USA site and around $20 on the international site.
Enjoy!

Isn't it, @Olfactory Nomad ? Its such a breeze on a temple. I adore it and I love it more than some $300 incenses I have! When I get back from my medical procedure this morning I'm going to light another one. I'll have to open the windows but its an incense thr demands fresh air.Beckoning Spring is very nice.

That's one expensive stick!Shunkohdo Kyara Houzan
Smelling the unlit stick is very satisfying to me, reminds me of kyara.
