First of all I dont own any of the 3 to compare in real life and practice.

Its hard to tell as these are like the top 3 heaters available right now. Its tiny differences and preferences that you choose from. I would say, if your friend finds an incense shop and he has one of them for a cheaper price, grab it. You will be happy with any.
Nr.7 has the temp display on the side so you can always see and change it. It also heats up faster? From what I heard
Nr.8 has the temp control and "display" on the bottom so you have to lift it every time you want to change the temperature without turning it to the side and spilling your woods/kyara on the table.
Nr.9 is also a favorite but I dont know if it is widely available like the other 2 because its not from a specific brand?
Duly noted brother, thank you 🤝
Nr.9 has a nice design & perhaps a matte finish👌

Shoyeido released a brand new heater
Usb-C charge port
Heating surface is not ceramic/ Needs mica
110°c to 210°c

The Kangiiten heater is convenient and a lovely product. However, the battery powered YouYuan heater is a bit different. The temperature control is digital and the heating surface is flat, white ceramic. There are several models of heaters in Taiwan and China, but I think this one is the best of the group. I am still hopeful for stronger ceramic heating technology soon so that they will be more suitable for fumigating large spaces. This one is made to be passed around and cupped with a hand during the kodo session.

Here is a photo from AliExpress:View attachment 32926
This is the one I have

Actually that's not bad. Some can go up to $400.
I mean its a plastic heater with no ceramic surface. I would either get Kioka if you want smth with Mica and its cheaper
Or just pay a bit extra and get the Magnolia heater for around 300$+ which is higher quality
Or the aluminium one which is high praised by some members for its good heat control and ceramic surface

I'll need to read these comparisons again but I picked up this one from Kangiiten and really loving it! Haven't used it for wild kyara yet, but for the cultivated stuff, I'm getting great enjoyment with the heat at 90 degrees still, and the timer feature is pretty handy! Can't recommend it more! It has an analog dial to move through the temperatures, perhaps getting to temp takes a bit of time but very sturdy design, no complaints as of yet!

For the short term I've found a little ceramic one from AliExpress that'll do until I figure out which proper one to buy. I actually think I'm now going to go for the Chinese YouYuan style.

Anyone know what this one is? This is screenshotted from an Ensar Oud video.
