It says there are only 3 temp options (high med & low)
So there’s no precise temp control?
Kioka has a heating element that you should only use by putting a mica on it

You can control the 3 mentioned temperatures and you can also control the distance between the Mica and the heating element so you have more temperature control. Its not a precise numerical control like the other ceramic chinese/taiwanese heaters (60° 80° etc.) Where you dont need mica and you can leave the powder/shavings on the ceramic surface

So is it safe to say that this heater can act as both, Kyara + subtism?
@YusaAromatics @Obada @iori
At the end all subitisms/kyara heaters/burners have one job= heating the wood
The difference lies in the heat source, heat surface, temperature/voltage control, material, tradition etc. Kyara heaters are specific for having the design that helps to "cup" them, enjoy the scent and pass them around. As Kyara can start singing at lower heat, they start with mild temperatures.

Subitisms are usually boxes made to leave them on your desk and heat the wood but not burning it so you dont release the burnt wood scent. Can you still use it for Kyara? Yes but you wont be able to hold it up close to your nose and cover it with your hand to concentrate the scent fumes in going to your nose.

Basically the Kioka has the concept of a subitism but in a handy "cup" shape.

Which one suits you better, you will have to find it out, also depending on: if you want to heat oud wood or kyara for most of the times.
I am no expert but also dont overthink it too much. If you travel a lot or dont need the heater to fumigate your room then a subitism makes no sense.
Kioka is a very good heater and it is praised by almost all vendors and a lot of experts on the forum. It is definitely good for the beginning especially if your price range is around 100$

Yes im burning kyara with it and all kinds of woods, ofc u cannot put thick blocks of wood on it. And because you can adjust mica distance it is possible to get to nice low and nice higher temperatures. But i am using a sub burner also, yes both burn woods but both are enjoyed differently !

Indeed brother, overthinking most of the times is futile. Jazāk Allāhu Khayran for the reminder 🤝

Could someone please help a brotha choose from these 4 ? Or potentially an even better one ? Forget about the price I just want the best one. Main thing I want is portability , temp control & a decent battery life.
I should've gotten one of these from the beginning...I wasted money on a subitism it's def not for someone like me. I burn at low temps & its only enjoyable directly under my nose.

can only speak for last two listed.
I would chose the Aluminum one because it have better led screen, heat up faster, charge faster, use USB Type-C for charging, wider temperature range, better battery and its cheaper.
The Qijiaxin is pretty good but i wish it would heat up as fast as the other one Lol also it comes with bag the aluminum one doesn't.

However if you speak for Chinese they would mostly recommend you the Youyuan or the Qijiaxin.

Thank you ! Can I go up & down with the temp by 1 ? The main thing I'm looking for is preciseness , I don't like the ones that jump by 20 or whatever it is that's too broad if you ask me.

I'll often have a small session on the couch with it. It almost feels like you're sipping through your nose. Always start at 60 and go from there. I don't see how you could improve on this model. When it dies I'll definitely be getting another the same.
That's exactly why I want one , under my nose is how I enjoy mine. Also when you say the 2nd just to make sure you mean the 2nd from the top right , the newer Youyaun ?
