Too late. Far, far too late. People have lives and will have made plans, booked vacations, flights, accommodations and all sorts. How do they apply for a refund if they now won’t be able to go on the new date(s)?
@JamieT, while I understand the frustration, there was a reason beyond our control. There was another event that was cancelled with 6000 tickets sold, so this can happen unfortunately. If you’re in London, then what flights and accommodation have you booked? It would be very easy for you to attend next month. The notice for the new dates exceeds the notice we gave for this event and that was deliberate to give everyone the maximum opportunity to be able to attend.

I’ve reached out to those affected in terms of missed flights etc way and offered help as they are literally a couple of people.

Disappointing for people who had made plans and arrangements for that weekend, for sure, and 6 days prior to the event is very short notice to make alternative arrangements and to try and get refunds but unfortunately sounds like the situation was beyond control.
I should be free over that new proposed weekend, but I will have to weigh up costs of travel and hotel etc
Yeah i was really looking forward to this and meet you and others. We’ve had many events like this since 2016 and this is the first ever event we have had to reschedule.

I’m transitioning from a voluntary role over the past ten years to build this community to making it a full time project and there are many challenges that we are learning from as we proceed, but I believe that what we are doing will make this space a much more engaging and rewarding experience than it currently is. I appreciate your patience and understanding as you’ve been with us for a long time.

a family member had to call the airline and change tickets. No refund on the difference, the latter was technically cheaper but she already paid for her ticket so figured, I already spent the money. Tell them funeral plans changed if you’re so inclined. I wouldn’t but I know of someone who did that and her hotel and flight was changed without charge. However, she did not use a budget line which charges for EVERYthing, but if you did they might try to cop a buck from you. I don’t know.

You used to be able to tell the airline you had a family health crisis and they would waive change fees, but now they don’t do that largely, from somebody in the travel industry i heard – – because people were taking advantage of it and claiming it all the time when it wasn’t really a real situation

I.e., for doing what was suggested in this thread

Yeah, airlines aren’t what they used to be. You get nick and stunts for everything. My mother ordered an OJ, and it came in a 3 fl oz can for $5!

PICCADILLY POST FINAL.webp

Anyone who goes please take pictures and share here...

Is New York really happening and are there any artisans confirmed? I really need to decide to book tickets pretty much now and all I see is a ticket and no location or other information.

Hey Steve. I’ve got a few venues up, and am going to hear back from Nadeem about which one he wants to reserve. I want to know the vendors too, but I know there are six of them.

When is it supposed to happen in NY?
