Aural Archipelago. Today I learned that this great instagram account originated as a blog which you can link to Here.
Recordings, video and context of traditional (and non-traditional) music, dance and ceremony from around modern day Indonesia. Super interesting and really exposes my ignorance as westerner of basic geography! I linked to the map so you can click on your favorite island or region. Obviously the people here are not wearing Oud but it’s super interesting o know where these trees originate. If Ruh means heart or soul of then maybe we can see the people and places of Oud and understand more than just the terroir. The real living, breathing, animating spirit.
