That website seems to be down. You sure that’s the right url?
My goof, it is oriental-fragrance.com (I had added a plural s).

Still waiting for shipping confirmation, whereas the smaller vendors I've shopped from seem to ship orders practically overnight. I guess I'm spoiled.

their pricing for Dahn Al Oud Moattaq (Wearing now), is more than double what I paid and maybe you got the last Amiri, sucks Ajmal won't ship to their own USA store. I checked other oils they offer, Ajmal Kadim, $80 in Dubai, $170 in the usa, crazy.

Yeah the price differential between the Dubai/UAE Ajmal shop and the shops that would ship to the US was driving me nuts. I spent about a week or two trying to figure out some sort of Dubai/UAE/Kuwait proxy shipment service to the US so I could order at the UAE prices and ship to the US, but was completely unsuccessful 😝

So I just bit the bullet and paid the oriental-fragrance price. Now I'm wondering if I should have ordered from a Kuwaiti seller on eBay who had all the items I wanted, probably would have shipped much more quickly, but the fact that eBay charges California sales tax on international purchases is ridiculous (how is that legal!?), so I skipped that.

I bought Amiri from that seller. Good seller but yeah, exactly and I've actually communicated with Ajmal but they told me they can't (not won't) ship oils out of the UAE. One more reason to see friends in Dubai I guess!

How did you get moattaq cheaper, was there an official discount, or specific price reduction to moattaq?

About 2 years ago, Intense Oud had a holiday sale and grabbed it for $299.99 if I remember right. I watched everywhere more than a year looking at it to complete my Moattaq collection, when it dropped I jumped. Now it's also available in 3ml size but I don't think in the cut glass.

I'm waiting longer now for Blue Oud to go on sale again!

That’s actually a very fair price for 6ml, almost comparable to Saif al Hind per ml. Do you think it is superior to Saif?

My understanding is that Saif Al Hind is a blend, contains some rosewood but regardless it's been a while since I've worn either until today and from memory I'd say this is deeper, richer. It really is very nice.
This is a quote from Moattaq’s official description which clarifies that it is a blend too: “One of our finest offerings with a heart comprised of pure Indian Dahn Al Oudh, the fragrance is aged and offers the we wearer instant access into premium quality blends”. Maybe its mixed with lower grades of oud, not with other ingredients, but clearly it is not a single origin pure Indian oud oil.

Saif al Hind is an Attar of Ajmal's aged oud, rosewood and spices while Dahn al Oud Moattaq is a pure oud, potentially a blend of Ouds but a pure aged oud.

After not buying oils. I am awaiting 2.

One from Oud Lab. I have never gotten an oil from Abu that has disappointed. He just has a stunning nose. Really tunes into a buyers preferences. He sent me a 2003 Papua sample that blew my mind maybe more than a year ago. I can't believe he finally sold me a bottle. It is one of my top 2-3 oud favorites of all time. I'm not sure if it's even listed but if you can get a sample.... I recommend trying if you can twist his arm. It is just so pure and sacred. Mother earth.

The other is from JK, omg. His knowledge and generosity sharing that knowledge. Just the descriptions are the best reading. He needs to do a magazine. Anyway this is what I ordered. It sounds exactly like what I want to buried in.

I think I sampled this a while back, JK @RisingPhoenix has some really amazing old oil, yes.

Haven't posted here in awhile, but excited about a few Ajmal scents on the way. I've ordered Saif al Hind, Dahn al Oud Amiri, and the Mukhallat Dahn al Oud Moattaq, the 60ml spray.

Waiting several days now for the order to ship, hope it happens soon 😜
Took some time to arrive, but Saif al Hind and Dahn al Oud Amiri are both in my hands as of a couple days ago.

Wow. I'm so impressed. Both are what I would call exquisite examples of the 'Hindi oud profile' (as far as I understand it) — rich, deep, chocolatey, animalic, spicy, leathery.

Oud Amiri is gorgeous. "Rich" is the word that keeps springing to mind. On the opening, it's deep and animalic with a particular chocolate note. Within an hour or so, the animalic notes fade and a beautiful, woody note is uncovered.

Saif al Hind dries down in a fascinating spicy manner, probably because this is a blend and not strictly 100% pure oud.

Anyway, I'm really impressed by both, especially because I paid $200US for Oud Amiri.

I have discovered that Hindi ouds are generally my favorite, as far as scent profiles go. Does anyone have any experience with lower-priced Ajmal ouds? I wonder if I would be well-served by a 6ml size of any of their lower-tier oils.

@c-z I recently was sent a sample of Dahn al Oudh Atheer, one of the more readily available and less expensive oils in the USA. It's a blast of pungent fermented goodness. You'll love it.
Yeah, I keep seeing Atheer all the time, never had a chance to smell it. Is it comparable to Saif al Hind?
