Starting Wednesday out with a bit of Sinking Sri Lankan from Habzoud, very lovely floral tones at 12v low temp, absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for putting the voltage up TSG.......it gives me a better understanding as to the heat applied to get the notes out in the best way possible...as a matter of interest @The Scent Guru ...roughly what temp is 12v producing?
I just dial low to start with and then go all the way to 24 volts at the end....but not sure what the temp equates out to...

Yes I do the same, I don't know the temp (another reason I have a YuLanXiang Kynam Electric incense burner ordered, for the Kinam and more delicates.) I'll usualy start at 12 on an unknown, this piece is producing a beautiful scent at very low voltage.

Sri Lankan wood from Pintanna oud today
Probably the lowest quality SL wood I’ve seen. Was supposed to be triple super but is more like super quality No resin bubbles .
Customer service is horrendous and the wood isn’t graded properly, I feel scammed!!
Next I’m putting a solid chunk of Sri Lankan from Habz on the heater, stunning !
Amazing scent!
True quality

Shit, I was gonna buy a lot of their top chips, the Silani Plates, they have great difficulty taking payment and I guess it's a good thing. Communication wasn't tops but friendly with my contact.

You have to wire transfer the money and its a pain, and they have the most expensive prices I’ve seen on high end SL
Ps: the oils were standard commercial grade they had swamp ,funk and cheese but no top notes snd all dark as night

Shoyeido Matsu Square Cut

I have never tried heating an entire square,
not really necessary.

Today’s piece gave it’s scent quickly, but not for as long as usual. It had a little hay note also. Definitely some variation going on, unavoidable.

In contrast, the nice thing about large pieces is that when you find a gem, you can enjoy that lovely profile for many burns.

Well.....this is fairly new to me.......I can say for sure that I certainly am burning a path with this stuff....
Found a bag with Royal Java from Ensar on it....low heat at 10v to start....nothing much for a while...just lifted the temp to 14v and it is now responding....so Java takes a higher heat so I am concluding that the different region woods release their bounty at different temps?
Getting berries and like dark chocolate....🤣
🤣 I told you @Sproaty I am far far worse at this....

It’s like getting intimate with your agarwoods, knowing the aromas and capabilities of each one.

A little vintage Pursat this morning, slow and low. This at 15v
[Ouddict.com] Burn of the Day

Frickin cultivated kinam from olefaktory. It’s the nicest smelling stuff.

I’ve also been carving a small piece of kdsl mysore sandalwood I bought from Oudhasi years ago and burning the shavings. The wood seems to have a legit mysore profile which is a pleasant surprise.

I am trying to refrain from using up the small bag I got from @EJayB
My favorite to burn at the moment....such a great scent from it....
