I recommend the Shoyeido Kodachi. The ceramic heating element and the casing do not give scent. I don’t use the metal lid or metal heating tray that’s included, just a mica sheet.

The battery powered Shoyeido Kodutu isn’t very practical, less burn time, extremely small heating area, and lack of temperature control.

I just ordered a back-up Kodachi from Kohgen through Mr. Watarai, just $280 total with EMS. I asked him to remove the Japan local tax, ship EMS and bill my Paypal.
(¥33,000-3000+5,300[shipping]=¥35,300)
Yen to Dollar is great right now, through Paypal it is currently ¥127 for $1.
Email of Mr. Watarai is
[email protected]

If anyone wants to make a big purchase at Kohgen, nows the time while the Yen is weak, but unfortunately they don’t ship agarwood and kyara overseas, nor Seijudo’s Kyara Enju.

Just tell Mr. Watarai that you don’t want to use the Worldshopping third party, and that you prefer EMS, and the removal of the Japan Local Tax (which is built in to their prices).

My Kodachi arrived.
I got the Black one this time, but the Black Paint has a smell, I can’t recommend this color.

Soil Philippine’s
Resin packed with wafts of floral top notes
I burn wood and daydream about the oil that would come from it on a regular basis
I dream of distilling the highest quality of wood available and then awareness strikes!!!
When I do distill the highest quality wood the math tells me it would be an oil that took years to sell due to the price and would make very little profit if any at all 🤦🏻‍♂️
But I am dreamer!

Thanks for putting the voltage up TSG.......it gives me a better understanding as to the heat applied to get the notes out in the best way possible...as a matter of interest @The Scent Guru ...roughly what temp is 12v producing?
I just dial low to start with and then go all the way to 24 volts at the end....but not sure what the temp equates out to...
bro get that lazer pointer thermometer!

EO Brunei
It has that “old stock” smell.
More powdery perfume and oudh
than floral notes.
thats that good stuff
Whatdoyathink of the Yuzhi AAA green/white sinking cultivated wood?
I like it, very oily and lasts very long and first sessioon shows it being clean no chemicals and NO HEADACHE! I am now a future customer of yuzhi oud kinam! Ejays also did not give me a headache yesterday night i ran a whole packet of powder probably 2grams! much different than yuzhi's, more cookies spice milk on the start. but all around similar in some ways. I am very happy because i would get the worst headache from cultivated kinam. I hope it will not creep up on me in the second or third session. Although this has never been the case!

My first Kyara burn. Just .1g white Viet Kinam from Jing. Was waiting for this warmer a long time. Just enjoying a light aroma.

I need to try the yuzhi some day. Do you know what a sample set of their oils goes for?
